“Caring, Smart & Proud”
TERM 3 WEEK 10 19th September 2012
GOOD LUCK It is sad to say farewell to three of the most dedicated and enthusiastic young adults Mr Reyne-6CG, Miss Brooks-3G and Miss McDonald - KM, that we have had at Hillvue on an internship. We know that they have gained knowledge and grown during time at Hillvue and we wish them all the best in their careers. FAREWELL Goodbye and good luck to Mrs Kim Falkenmire. Mrs Falkenmire has recently received a position at Peel High School as a Head Teacher. We wish her all the best in her new job. We appreciate all the support and mentoring that Mrs Falkenmire has provided to us as a staff member at Hillvue. Thank you. SUPER SPELLERS Congratulations to Mollie Carter and Zane Brooks who were our school finalists at the Regional Spell-Offs at Nemingha Public School on Thursday 13 September. Both Mollie and Zane represented Hillvue in a Caring Smart and Proud manner. A big thank you to Mrs Sue O'Connor who supported our students and made the event possible.
CLOTHING POOL Spare clothing donations are being accepted. If you have any spare school clothing that can be used for our students, please send them to Mrs Holland in the canteen. Thank you SCHOOL UNIFORM As the weather has been quite warm this past week, students are invited to chose between their summer or winter uniform for the remainder of this term. From the commencement of Term 4 all students are expected to be in full summer uniform. Parents are asked to ensure that students are wearing appropriate footwear. This means black leather shoes when wearing the formal
uniform, this is a safety requirement. Laced joggers on sports days. If families are having difficulties with supplying the correct uniform, please see me. BEST WISHES We wish Mrs Craswell all the best for her wedding this Saturday. We hope your day is memorable. LOST PROPERTY There are currently a number of jumpers and various other pieces of clothing in our lost property box. Staff will attempt to find owners for any named pieces next week. At the end of next week, all unclaimed clothing will be washed and donated to the emergency clothing cupboard at the school. If you are missing some clothing, please visit the school or have your children look before the end of this week. ASSEMBLY This Friday our K-6 assembly will be held in the hall at 9.15am. Our classroom and playground awards will be drawn and Miss McDonald will be presenting her Community Project. Remember, awards will be presented to our winners who are attending school on the day. All families and friends are most welcome to attend. TERM FOUR Students and teachers return on Monday the 8th October. Have a safe and happy holiday. Thank you for a great term! Mrs Tina White—Relieving Principal
