Hilary Lapham Hilary's objective is to be a valuable member of a professional team by contributing her organizational, action oriented, leadership, coaching, training, interpersonal, and bilingual skills in a challenging, rewarding professional environment. Hilary has worked with Northwestern Mutual as their Director of Training and Development for more than 5 years. She managed onboarding, initial training, ongoing training and continuing education for all financial advisors through their initial five years. During this time she onboaded and trained over 130 financial representatives, directed training and development activities, monitored progress for 30 advisors through initial five years and executed and facilitated bi- monthly advisor trainings and quarterly inter classes. Hilary also managed performance-based compensation plans for financial advisors during their first year and was an Executive Leadership Team Member with Managing partner as a Certified Master Trainer. For 4.5 years, she was a senior enrollment advisor for University of Phoenix where she recruited and counseled students as they embarked on their college career. She worked with students seeking anything from an associate's to a master's degree and see them through to graduation. Before joining University of Phoenix, she worked with Amway Global as a contractor for 8 months on the Global Web 2.0 project, editing and translating their fully functional website in Spanish. She earned her bachelor's degree in Spanish and Sociology, minoring in Psychology while at Hope College. During her four years at Hope, she worked at the reference and research desk at the campus library. Here, she assisted students in their research, helping them find books, articles, movies and other sources to enrich their papers and projects.
