TECSONSAFETY QUALITY RELIABLITY

Tecson, a leading manufacturer of critical pipeline sealing and electrical isolation products, provides complete range of flange insulation productsand design service to customer. We apply the new cutting technology as well as the numerical control turning to produce high-precision sealinginsulating gaskets. The strong design ability is helpful to improve the service quality for our customers in the world.

TYPE “E” Type F gaskets are made to fit theraised face portion of the flangeonly. As there are no bolt holes inthe F gasket, the inside diameter ofthe bolt hole circle is slightlysmaller than the outside diameterof the gasket, assuring an exact, automatic positioning of the gasket.Available in the same materials asthe type E gasket.

TYPE “F” Type D gaskets are specificallydesigned to fit into the ring grooveof ring-type-joint flanges. They aremanufactured of a GRE or phenolicmaterial and are sized to ANSI and APIspecifications - available in basic ovalas well as octagonal shape. Also availableare BX gaskets with pressure ratings to15,000 Psi. But the HPG gasket is anexcellent alternative to “D” gaskets becausethe sealing element may be positionedanywhere between the I.D. of the gasketand I.D. of the ring groove.

The HPG system is a high reliability system used for both isolating and general sealing purposes, especially suitable in High Pressure servicesincluding ANSI 2500# and API 15,000 Psi. The HPG kit consists of a PTFE spring-energized seal, or an elastomeric o-ring, seated in anisolating laminate, which is permanently bonded to a high-strength metal gasket core. Sleeves and washers complete the isolating package.Due to its unique pressure activated sealing mechanism, the gasket requires far less bolt stress to seal than any other industry gasket . TheHPG inner diameter is exactly matched to the flange bore to eliminate turbulent flow and flange face erosion/corrosion.

HPG is made of 316 stainless steel core and bonded with epoxy resin (G10 or G11). The stainless steel 316 is a standard core material, andalso can provide special alloy materials such as super duplex steel, Inconel and Hastalloy.

HPG can be applied to very critical operating conditions, such as vibration, temperature and pressure fluctuations. It is a cathodic protectionsystem that provides safe sealing and excellent electrical insulation performance in harsh environments.

The LPG is a Low Pressure service isolation Gasket kits designed for electricalflange isolation and/or general sealing applications. This gasket is suitable foruse in raised-face and flat-face flanges in ANSI class 150 and 600 service (orequivalent). In addition to providing electrical isolation, the gasket is excellentfor isolating flanges made of dissimilar metals or where prevention of flangeface corrosion is desired.

The design of LPG incorporated overlapping and offsetting seal grooves. Thepurpose of this design is to break each layer of laminate within the seal itselfthereby creating a barrierthrough which fluid and/or gas cannot migrate. Thesealing element canbe any elastomeric material as well as more sophisticatedSpring-Energized PTFE seals. As a result of this advanced seal design, maintenance free flange isolation and flange face corrosion mitigation areachieved economically.

The LPG is available in both full-face (Type E) and ring style (Type F) configurations. Depending upon the sealing element selected, the LPG is ratedfor most all hydrocarbon and water service applications.

NFP sealing/isolating gasket consists of a Phenolic retainer faced on both sides with Nitrile rubber material. This gasket is an economical solutionfor basic performance. The NFP gasket is designed for basic applications where electrical flange isolation and corrosion control are required onpipes containing water/wastewater, gas, natural gas, oil and other hydrocarbon based medias up to 79°C. Available in flat face and raised face.

Designed to easily fit over standard size flange bolts within standard size bolt holes, Tecson isolating sleeves have a wallthickness of 0.8mm and are used with separate isolating and steel washers. They are available for standard ASME and ISObolt sizes. Nonstandard sizes are available in G10 and G11 material

Monolithic Insulating Joints

Benefits & Advantages

SONJOINT Monolithic Isolating Joint

SONJOINT is a monolithic isolating joint which effectively and efficiently stopsshort circuits and stray currents from damaging pipelines and equipment. It employs one or more, preassembled pressure seals and isolating ring. Unlikeisolating gasket kits, SONJOINT does not depend on an installer fitting gasket, sleeves and washers into a flange on location. Any one of these parts could bedamaged causing a complete breakdown of the isolated flange, thus loosingcathodic isolation. Because SONJOINT are welded into place as one piece units, field problems are virtually non-existent and the integrity of the isolation is keptintact. Furthermore, once installed, SONJOINT can be buried and forgottenending your maintenance worries. In contrast, inspection pits and vaults must beused to monitor below ground isolation gaskets. And constant visual inspectionsof above ground isolation gaskets are necessary to check for shorts in the gaskets. This requires a continuing maintenance program during the entire life of the pipeline.

Isolating joints of SONJOINT are mainly applied to cathodic protection andcorrosion prevention of pipes that carry petroleum, natural gas, hydrocarbon, water, vapor, corrosive liquid, etc. The isolating joints, used on the ground and under theground, are also widely applied to the gas transmission and distribution system, gasregulator stations, underground drinking water pipelines, etc. to protect the facilitiesfrom corrosion by electrochemistry and thus their life is prolonged.

No loss of integrity due to thermal expansion or ground stress as is common with flange insulation gasket kits.

100% tested hydrostatically and electrically, to 1-1/2 times working pressure. Non-destructive testing is also available.

Maintenance-free, reliable cathodic isolation of equipment in required isolation applications such as compressor stations.

No labor intensive, complicated installation procedure required as with isolation gasket kits.

No inspection pits, vaults or maintenance needed - weld into place and direct bury - reliable, worry-free cathodic isolation.

Non-conductive epoxy coatings help prevent shorts, both externally and internally.

Isolates stray currents impressed on the pipe from exterior forces such as electrical transmission systems, earth currents and currents

flowing from point to point.

Excellent bending and torsional resistance.
