Hicas removal kit for Nissan 300ZX Z32 Twin Turbo VG30DETT

Remove both of the HICAS lines Remove both of the HICAS high pressure lines going into the rack and the two bolts securing the rack to the rear subframe.

Remove the wire ties that secure the inner tie rod boots Remove the wire ties that secure the inner tie rod boots onto each end of the rack.

Pull the boots back on each side Pull the boots back on each side to expose the inner ball joint and connection to the rack.

Use two wrenches on each end of the inner HICAS tie rods Using two wrenches on each inner end of the inner HICAS tie rods where they attach to the rack, turn the wrenches against each other to remove.

Remove the end that comes loose Continue to turn the end that comes loose removing the tie rod end from the rack.

Remove the tie rod end from the rack Remove the tie rod end from the rack and push to the side.

Take the fittings off the end of the HICAS rack. On whatever end you remove the first tie rod end from, take the fittings off the end of the HICAS rack.

Use a wrench to unscrew them Use a wrench to unscrew them from the end of the rack as shown in the picture.

Remove the second tie rod end Put one wrench on the exposed end of the rack and another wrench on the remaining inner tie rod end in the same spot as before. Twist these two wrenches to remove the remaining tie rod.

Check for play in the ball joints Move rear wheels back and forth and check for any play in the inner tie rod ball joints and replace if neccessary. If everything checks out you are ready to move to the front of the car.

Identify the (3) connections on the HICAS solenoid Use the Dual Banjo fittings ( included ) and bypass the lines , the installation is completed
