Introduction

Hey Diddle Dee was written with ideas suggested by my son’s 4th

grade class. The class had been studying the Renaissance time-pe-riod in preparation for a field trip to a Renaissance faire. The boys each designed and created a tunic displaying their crest. The girls each designed and created a headdress. At the faire the students were invited to tell the story and perform the song in costume in front of a live audience.
