My Family’s Heritage

I am American-Mexican. My mom was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. This is a photo of my grandfather’s ranch in Jalos. My dad’s family lives in Ensenada, Mexico. I enjoy visiting my great grandmother Yoya. She is 90 years old!

My Family’s Traditions

There are many holidays that we celebrate: Halloween, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Easter, but my favorite is Christmas. Every year on that day, we go to church, eat tamales, bake cookies, my dad reads The Polar Express and we watch the movie, we exchange gifts with all my uncles, aunts, and cousins. It is great to come from a big family.

The Sports I Play

★ I play three different sports and they are baseball, soccer, and basketball. I play club soccer for the Xplosion Soccer club team. For baseball and basketball, I play in the city of La Mirada’s League.
