This autobiography is about the life of the young lady who only wish to her life is to become successful woman to help her parents and the people around her. Her name is May, but oftentimes she was called by her nickname, ”Menggay”. May is a lady with unpredictable personality, moody, petite, tawny and frank, in a sense that she tells her opinion and what she feels. She was born on May 31, 1991(that’s why her name is May because it came from the month of her birth date) in her hometown in Mabitac,Laguna. May is the youngest daughter of Leoncio Villanueva and Abella Orqueza. She has four siblings, one handsome brother named Eugene, and three lovely sisters, Peachy, Wendy, and Debbie. Her “Kuya” (Eugene) is still a bachelor, one of her sister is already had her own family with two cute little boys (May’s nephews). Her “Ate Wendy” is a pre-school teacher and one of the hosts in the first ever noontime variety show in Laguna “Gandang Tanghali Kuya” (GTK) and her “Ate Debbie” had just graduated from college. May’s parent is owned a small eatery in front of their rented apartment house. She and her family is an example of a simple family that living together.

During her childhood, almost all of her wants, she got it. She was spoiled by her parents, specially her “Tatay”, the toys, clothes, etc. May loves to play with her playmates which is her neighbor, and with her friends. Their playing toy cars, scooters, bike, play station, texts etc. She loves to play the toys of the boys rather than to the girls that’s why she so called “boyish” at that time. When her mother first entered her in school at the age of 6 years old, she was so lazy in studying because her wants is to play and draw. She remembered at that time, her mother was so anger with her because she did not like to go to school because wants to finish her drawing, which is just a cartoon character. She can make it to the top of the honor roll but she cannot make it because of her absences. May is not a slow learner type of pupil she’s just lazy. When she turned 11 years old and a grade 5 pupil, she realized that she need to study hard because she already in a puberty age also after one year she already a graduating pupil in Mabitac Elementary School in Mabitac,Laguna. She promised to herself that she will belong to the top five of the class up to grade six and she made it. When she was in grade five, she became active in different school activities, like field day (which is yearly done in school), in nutrition day she joined in poster making contest because she loves to draw etc. The recognition came; she recognized as the 4th honor in class and got some special awards. When she turned 12 years old and a grade six pupil, she became more studious and like of what she promised to herself to maintain into the top five of the class. That’s why she joined in other school activities like in drum and lyre as a

lyrist, in intramurals(girl’s soccer), united nation as Ms. Egypt and in street dancing as a part of the “Three Kings Festival” (January 06) in Mabitac. At that time, she excels in Science and History (HEKASI) subject which is her two of most favorite subject. She also a part of the group of pupils who go and fight in different schools to take an examination to prove of what school is the best. Then the graduation came, her parents, even her siblings was so happy because she awarded as one of the most outstanding pupil in her Alma Mater as the 4 th honor of the class (2003-2004).She also got some special award as a part of the drum and lyre. Her Ate Wendy gave her a scrabble as a graduation gift. Her family was very proud of because they didn’t expect that she can made it to the top five. This stage of her life was remarkable for her, because it was full of happy memories of her childhood.

Teenage year was came, a stage of her life that changed her most. A week before of her 13th birthday , she got her first menstruation and she was shocked because it is a sign that she is no longer a little girl who is spoiled and brat. During her menstruation, she also has a chicken fox that she made her irritated. The entrance examination for the incoming freshman student in high school came, she wants to take an examination but she cannot make it because of her chicken fox. A day after that

said examination, she, with her mother went to the school to take a special examination. She was so lucky because there is no need to take it because of her high grades when the principal looked at her card during her grade school. Later, she noticed that some of her body parts was get bigger and she realized that it is just part of the physical changes happened during the adolescent stage. Another school year was came,. At the first day in school as a high school student in Mabitac National High School she met her new friends even though her childhood best friend was no longer her classmate because she enrolled in other school. She promised to herself to be the top one of the class once she entered in high school. During her first year in school, she was focused on her studies. She also joined in different school activities, like declamation and she won a second place, poster making and nutri-jingle during nutrition day and in intramurals. She always did her best to win and learn to be sport when she loses. May is active in the class, she always the leader in the group and part of the class officer. As she promised, she awarded as the top one of the class that’s why her teachers and fellow classmates called her “Small but Terrible”. As a sophomore student in same school and as a typical teenager she also had her first crush and it is not a secret to her friends. A problem came, she got a low grade (leading to failed) in one of her subject because she ignored that subject and she remember, she cried in the middle of the class because of that failing grade. After that incident, she pursues to study hard in that subject and she made it. As the same, she also became the top one of the class. When she was 15 years old and a junior student she got bored and lazy in her studies because she did not like her

adviser. She thought that her adviser had a favorite student. She doesn’t have any failing grade but she just becomes top three of the class. She continues in joining in different school activities, she is part of the students’ group who fight in different school and she won as the PRO in Student Supreme Council.

In last year of being a high school student, she did her best to graduate. One of the beautiful memories during her high school is when they had their field trip because she and friends called “Beckz Beauties” had their bonding time together. She is the part of the school paper that time, and went to other school to attend a seminar in making an effective and useful school newspaper.

During the Junior and Senior Prom Night, she was so happy because she feels beautiful that night and many guys take her into the dance floor to dance including her crush.

Mixed emotions during the graduation, happy and proud because she made to finish the four long years in high school and sad because she will be apart from her friends and classmates once they entered in college. May is graduated as the first achiever in class (2007-2008) in her Alma Mater, the Mabitac National High School and got some special awards. As many said,” high school life is the most unforgettable stage in life of a person” and I believed in that saying.

She is not entered in college in year 2008 after she was graduated in high school because she gave way to her older sister to finish her studies. At that time, when she’s an out-of-school youth, she enrolled in Mabitac Cyberskwela, a program which aims to teach about the computer, it’s program etc. She helps her mother and father in the eatery in the day and in the afternoon, she studying in Mabitac Cyberskwela. That program was helped her because once she entered in college, she had already a knowledge about the computer, how to use it, the content etc. In December 2008 she with her mother and sister went to their favorite noontime variety show, Eat Bulaga as an excursionist with other citizens of Mabitac. She was so happy because she saw of some of her favorite artist and host of Eat Bulaga in person. When her Ate Debbie graduated in college, she was so excited because it means, she can now continue her studies as a college student. During the summer vacation 2009, she joined in Mabitac Parish Youth Commission in their town ( Nuestra Señora de Candelaria Parish). Every afternoon of May 2009 she went to the church as a member of the PYC in yearly Flores de Mayo. Before her 18 th

birthday, she realized that she is need to act as young lady, prior to her age.

Now May is already 18 years old, she is now taking Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) in Laguna State Polytechnic University in Siniloan,Laguna. Her first choice is to take BSPsycho. (Psychology) but because of the influence of her brother and mother, she changed her course because according to them, being a teacher is a good profession and after graduated in college, there is a sure job that she can apply for. Luckily she met again new friends even in a short period of time of being classmates. She promised to herself and to her mother that she will finish her studies and helped them because May’s parents were both a senior citizen now.

Now, May is a college student taking up BSED (Bachelor of Secondary Education) in Laguna State Polytechnic University in Siniloan,Laguna. She was happy that she has new friends and classmates. As she promised, she will finish her studies to help her parents and to have a bright future as a model teacher.
