& Everywhere
- What is it?• UMF funded project 2011-12 to develop on-line delivery of
degree certificates, transcripts, HEAR reports and other student data and documents via secure cloud-based architecture for Software as a Service to a range of users and institutions
• Seven partner institutions, Digitary as SaaS provider• Involved development of technical and organisational
solutions, including identification of Cloud provider & engagement with Nexus ESB
• Solution successfully tested and deployed, now available as an operational service

– Lessons Learned
• Web services are not as easy as you might think - & Nexus can help
• The project allowed engagement with new approaches & technologies: SOA, EA, ESB
• There can be cost savings – particularly as the range of documents/uses is extended
• The Nexus ESB will provide even greater value as more services become available via this route
• Undertaking this needs technical & business input• The governance model worked – collaboration can produce
results – but needs a clearly defined service delivery model
