Milestones – The Beginnings
• 1970: Peter Lawo establishes an engineering office for electronic equipment
• Mid 70s: electronic sound processors developed (vocoder, halaphon)… Analog modules and modular mixing consoles developed and manufactured
• Early 80s: programmable audio mixing console (PTR) with analog signal processing and digital control designed (hybrid audio mixing console)
• Early 90s: the fully digital and modular mc series of consoles are developed (mc 50 and mc 80)

• AES 2002: worldwide introduction of the sophisticated but low-priced broadcast on-air console zirkon
• IBC 2002: worldwide introduction of the digital audio router Nova17 for small to medium scale applications
• IBC 2003: worldwide introduction of the digital audio router Nova73 for medium to large scale applications.
• October 2003: Lawo North America established

• NAB 2004: worldwide introduction of mc²66 live broadcast production console
• IBC 2004: delivery of the mc266 starts only 6 months after first public presentation, with over a dozen orders placed.
• AES 2005: release 1.1 for mc²66 including sequence automation. Lawo enters the live sound market.
• AES 2006: Flagship mc²90 console introduced
