being.• Illeness is the opposite of health We fell tired
and your bodies do not work properly • Symptoms, like coughs ,pain or fever, tell us
that our bodies are ill.

Healt hy habit s• Sleep 8 or 9 hours every night and rest
when we are tired.
• Eat a balanced diet.
• Eat five meals a day and always eat breakfast.
• Wash your hands before meals and have a shower every day.
• Breathe fresh air and avoid places with smoke.

Types of illness• Non-infectious illnesses have different
causes.
• Infectious illnesses are caused by hamful bacteria or viruses. They can be contagious or non-contagious.
• An illness is contagious when an ill person transmits the illness to a healthy one.
• Tetanus and salmonellosis are non-contagious illnesses.
