BIOGRAPHY
• Designer’s name is Shayne Oliver he’s from Brooklyn New York.
• Started in 2006 with just t- shirts that said “hood” on them.
• Went to the Fashion Institute of Technology and New York University but dropped out of both schools and became a promoter and vogue dancer.
• Listed on the “Top Greatest Black Fashion Designers” in the Complex magazine.
Concept & Look
• The style of the brand is called “GHE2oGoTH1k” (Ghetto Gothic).
• About updating how people dressed in the hood.
• Street and emo mixed with high end fashion.
• 90’s look influenced by Raf Simons, Walter Beirendonck and sexuality (transgender, masculine, feminine).
• Dark, edgy, rebellious, sinister.• Concentrates on “black & white”.• Geometrical shapes in clothing
mainly the “rectangle”.
Target Market & Price Points
• Mainly targets music artist or affiliates of hip hop such as A$apRocky, Rihanna, Kanye West, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar.
• Attracts younger crowd with high taste of fashion.
• T-shirts & sweatshirts range from $100-$250, runway pieces can run up to $2000.
Method of selling
• Mainly sold by online retailers (Rsvpgallery.com, Vfiles.com, Hypebeast.com) or boutiques overseas such as Collette in Paris and Harvey Nichols in London.
• Uses blogs and fashion show participation to gain consumers.
• Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc).
