Have Confidence in Your Decisions, says Life Coach Leslie Jo Saul

Decisions, Decisions By Leslie Jo Saul January 27, 2014 The decisions you make, no matter how big or small, can drastically change the course of your life. If you need help determining the best course, there’s no shame in going to a friend, a family member, a therapist, or a life coach to help sort out your wants and needs. Unfortunately, the thing about our society is that lots of people think it’s okay to offer you unsolicited advice, especially if you’re a woman. A lot of my female life coaching clients feel they are constantly made to question everything they think about themselves and their path. If you think you have a pretty good idea of who you are and where you want to go, never apologize for decisions you make in the following areas. 1. Anything involving your appearance. From clothing to body hair to weight, if it’s a decision you made, and you know you made it not out of fear but out of confidence and love for yourself, you don’t need to justify it to anyone. Shave your legs or don’t, wear that skirt or that dress, it’s entirely up to you. 2. Anything sexrelated. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, you know what you want and need and what you don’t. When it comes to the who, what, when, where, why, and how, as long as it’s happening between consenting adults, you don’t have to explain yourself to anyone about any of it. 3. Where you live. It’s the twenty first century and yet some people still find reasons to judge others’ living situations. I don’t care how old you are–live by yourself, live with a roommate or two, live with a lover, live with a fiance, or spend some time back home with the ‘rents. It’s nobody’s business but yours. 4. Whether or not you want to have children. People assume that all woman want to and should have kids. Guess what: those people are wrong. Motherhood is great for some, but it’s not necessarily for everyone. Next time people ask you prying questions at a cocktail party remember there’s no reason you should question the way you feel. 5. How you balance your personal and professional life. Both areas of life are demanding, and there will always be compromise no matter what gender

Decisions,  Decisions  By  Leslie  Jo  Saul  January  27,  2014

The  decisions  you  make,  no  matter  how  big  or  small,  can  drastically  change  the  course  of  your  life.  If  you  need  help  determining  the  best  course,  there’s  no  shame  in  going  to  a  friend,  a  family  member,  a  therapist,  or  a  life  coach  to  help  sort  out  your  wants  and  needs.    Unfortunately,  the  thing  about  our  society  is  that  lots  of  people  think  it’s  okay  to  offer  you  unsolicited  advice,  especially  if

you’re  a  woman.

2. Anything  sex-‐related.
