Agility Gate Phone App Check in a t the Gate Entering and Exiting the Ring
Due to COVID restrictions exhibitors are not allowed to crowd around the ring entrance/exit gates and the check in board. Roger Ly has written and given us a FREE phone app to check in your dog and see, from your canopy, who is in the ring and who is next.
Paper gate sheets will not be printed. There will be a computer monitor near the ring displaying which dog is in the ring and which dog is next.
New beginning now and forever: Exhibitors are requested to download the new, free phone app. The app will allow exhibitors to check in their dog, mark a conflict, scratch their dog, answer the question of who is currently in the ring, who is next and how many before my dog. When there are no more than four dogs before your dog you may proceed to the gate.
You will not need your phone at the gate. The gate steward will call out dog names just like at shows in the past. If you have multiple dogs running too close together in the run order tell the person holding the Purple Minion iPad holder. They will move your dog. All moves, scratches etc. will immediately upload to everyone’s phone app.
Lining up with your dog at Ring Entrance: At any one time there should be no more than 1 dog in the ring and 4 dogs/handlers near the entrance gate. At the entrance gate there will be 4 marker cones spaced appropriately apart. Wait at any available marker cone.
Exiting the Ring: At the exit gate a “breathing area” will be designated with markers. On the perimeter of the “breathing area” there will be 4 white buckets. Exhibitors may place their dog toy/cookies/phone/hat in one of the buckets. After leaving the ring exhibitors may remain in this area, without a mask, while praising their dog and catching their breath. Exhibitors must leave the area, with their mask on, before the next handler exits the ring.

My Score is Wrong If you have any questions regarding your score ask the main score table. Lorie, Dave and Karen. If we do not know the answer we will find out. Please do not ask the Scribe or Timer your score or time. They are busy scoring the next dog.
Per AKC Rules only the judge can change the information written on the scribe sheet– and only if the Judge remembers the run.
COVID Rules hard copies will not be provided. PDF will be posted the morning of the event. Maps are also connected to the Agility Gate app

The Awards Table will be located near the main score table. Once the Judge has signed off on the scores the ribbon labels will be printed and placed in the

Page 3 Harvest Moon Classic
Do not stress over conflicts. With Agility, FCAT, Scent, Trick Evaluations, CGC and Virtual Rally there are sure to be conflicts. It is very likely that at some point the agility rings will “jam” with the same height in more than one ring at a time. Everyone will get a turn.
Agility: there are multiple walk groups. If you have a legitimate conflict you can move to another group. Mark your dog a conflict.
FCAT: check in with the Agility Gate app and mark your self a conflict. You can also speak with Patty Fornelli to move your dog in the lineup.
Conflicts
Day to Day Move Up

you are required to walk both courses before judging begins. Course will be open approximately 30 minutes before judging begins.
Master / Excellent Standard & JWW

FCAT Instructions
Do not cross the start line or finish line at any time either before or after your dog crosses the line. If you do then your dog’s time will be invalidated. Re-runs will not be allowed.
Each dog needs someone to release and someone to catch at each end of the track.
Rules for everyone:
1. No walking over the lure line on the exterior of the test track. This is extremely dangerous as a moving line might burn/cut you or your dog
2. Inside the track, if needed to catch your dog, step on the line so your feet and your dog’s paws do not become tangled in the line
3. Do not walk next to the fenced track on the outside of the fence. Walk at least 25 feet lateral
4. Before getting your scribe sheet from the file box SANITIZE YOUR HANDS
Handlers
1. Starter calls the dog to the line and indicates where to stand
2. Starter asks if you are ready
3. Handler replies
4. Starter raises flag and shouts Tallyho
5. Lure operator starts the lure
6. Handler releases on the movement of the lure. Once handler affirms they are ready look only at the lure. When the lure moves, release your dog
7. Noise making devises such as whistles, duck calls, electronic calls or other items of this nature are not permitted. No toys, treats, flags or other items of this nature are permitted while the dog is running
8. At check in pick up your dog’s time/scribe sheet and give to your catcher
Catchers at Finish Line
1. Stand well behind the finish line, preferably off to the side of the track
2. If cones are placed behind the finish line do not stand in front or between
3. Put dog on lead ASAP and move to the side of the track
4. If you are catching more than one dog and plan to remain at the finish line be sure the starter is aware of this so they are not waiting for you to leave the finish area
5. Noise making devises such as whistles, duck calls, electronic calls or other items of this nature are not permitted. No toys, treats, flags or other items of this nature are permitted while the dog is running
6. Handlers are not permitted to run down the course with a dog. If the course is fenced, this includes both inside or outside of the fence
7. Before entering to catch hand your dog’s time/scribe
Page 7 Harvest Moon Classic
Lure Operator Instructions

2. When ready raise arm to signal the flagger you are ready for dog to be released
3. Write time on scribe sheet
4. Stamp scribe sheet with validation stamp
5. Hold all scribe sheets until an official volunteer arrives to transport them to Lorie Abbott
Flagger Instructions
1. Call the next team to the start line
2. Look for signal from timer/scribe indicating they are ready
3. Look at lure and make sure it is in place
4. Ask handler if they are ready to release the dog
5. Raise flag and shout Tallyho
6. Quickly drop the flag
