Traditional Irish Dancing
Kaynor Community
Education began in 2006,
teaching “The Business of
Art” at South Puget Sound
Community College. Over
the next ten years the
number of available courses
have grown to over ninety
with new classes added
monthly. Subject matters
range from travel and leisure
programs, to science
programs. Some of the most
popular categories cover
birds of Washington and
regional geology.
David Kaynor will be
coming to Harbor Place on
March, 27th at 10:00 am to
discuss the Great Bridges of
Washington.
Service with a smile is one
way to describe this
month’s employee of the
month. Terry is no
stranger to this award.
He routinely goes above
and beyond to help out.
On Monday, February 4th,
Gig Harbor received a
couple inches of snow. A
resident was coming out
of her room to walk her
Kaynor Community Education
dog when Terry spotted
her, told her to stay inside
and keep warm while he
took the dog for a
morning walk. Thank you,
Terry, for looking out for
the safety of the Harbor
Place residents and your
willingness to go the extra
mile to keep them safe.
Keep up the great work!
Employee of the Month

Fun Facts about March Madness:
• Only eight teams competed in
the first NCAA tournament in
1939. Oregon was the winner.
• UCLA has the most titles by
far with 11. Ten of those titles
came over a 12 year period.
Kentucky Wildcats have the
second most titles with eight.

We Are Glad You Are Here!
• Fans sacrifice sick days for
March Madness. One in seven
fans call in sick to watch the
tournament.
• Many fans fill out brackets,
picking their choices of who is
going to win each game. But
did you know that the odds of
picking every game correctly is
9.2 quintillion to one?

BPS Spring Play Bellarmine Preparatory School’s
spring musical is The 25th
Annual Putnam County Spelling
Bee. Harbor Place will be
attending the performance on
Sunday, March 17th.
Play Description: An eclectic
group of six vie for the spelling
championship of a lifetime. While
candidly disclosing hilarious and
touching stories from their home
lives, the tweens spell their way
through a series of words, hoping
never to hear the soul-crushing,
pout-inducing, life un-affirming
"ding" of the bell that signals a
spelling mistake. Six spellers enter;
one speller leaves! At least the
losers get a juice box.
