Welcome and Happy Easter! We appreciate you taking the time to join us for our Easter celebration and encourage you to share our videos and the good word of God with others. Even though we are unable to gather in our Sanctuary, we have learned that our church is not defined by walls. We can still worship together, be a community and continuing to live our mission and fulfill our vision. So now we will take time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I say move mountain, Move spirit, Rise Dry Bones, Move mountain, move

You are the God of big dreams, You said that I’d do great thingsYou know my heart and hear me when I sing, You are the God of big dreams

Wearin’ your armor, covered in grace, Pourin’ out love, castin’ out hateEven if the whole world’s laughin’ in my face

I say move mountain, Move spirit, Rise Dry Bones, Move mountain, move

You are the God of big dreams, You said that I’d do great thingsYou know my heart and hear me when I sing, You are the God of big dreams

Speakin’ to the waves, speakin’ to the mountainsSpeakin to the fear, speakin’ to the sicknessTryin’ to be like Jesus, just wanna be like Jesus

You are the God of big dreams, You said that I’d do great thingsYou know my heart and hear me when I sing, You are the God of big dreamsYou know my heart and hear me when I sing, You are the God of Big Dreams

Easter Proclamation Pastor Katie

Easter begins in despair. Our life, our love, our hope forever dead, crushed by boulder, bottled up in a cave.

Who will roll back the stone?Easter takes us by surprise, early in the morning. The obstacles we expect to face are removed. Where once death and despair lay locked in time, now the bright light of hope sprouts wings to fly from emptiness. It is, at first, too good to be true.

Where have you laid him? When faced with a miracle, our first reflex is to run.

‘Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. 6He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples, “He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.”Suddenly the realization dawns. It may rise as quietly as the sun creeping over the horizon, or it may explode like fireworks, painting the world with dazzle. We recognize the One who was dead as he comes to life in us.

Christ is risen, risen indeed! Alleluia! And all who encounter the Risen One whether gently roused by the sunrise or surprised by the sudden burst of joy will join the Resurrection Procession one by one, slipping into step, some of us singing, some of us silently soaking it in, and all of us feeling like dancing.

Alleluia! Christ is risen, risen indeed!Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

Pastoral Greeting & Prayer of the Day Pastor Katie

The grace of the Risen Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you.

Let us pray together.God of empty tombs; God of promises fulfilled; strong, impartial, accepting, loving Creator of all things help us to recognize Christ in our midst, that we may feel your touch, hear your Word, and be moved to respond to your love without limits. Amen.

Gospel Mathew 28:1-10 Pastor Dale

After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4For fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men. 5But the angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. 6He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples, “He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.” This is my message for you.’ 8So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9Suddenly Jesus met them and said, ‘Greetings!’ And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshipped him. 10Then Jesus said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.’

The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you O Christ.

Prayers Pastor Katie

Our Gracious God of Love without limits today we read, “And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone.” Descend upon us now, come and roll back the stone that blocks our way to Jesus.

When we are all despairing, when the world is full of grief, when we see no way ahead and hope has gone away: Roll back the stone.

Although we fear change, although we are not ready, although we’d rather weep and run away: Roll back the stone.

Because we’re coming with the women, because we hope where hope is vain, because you call us from the grave and show the way: Roll back the stone.

Even though we trust, “This too shall pass,”Even though we are sheltered in place, even though we believe Jesus was raised from the dead, and sometimes we doubt: Roll away the stone.

Where ever we despair, you bring hope, where ever there is death, you bring life, where ever we are, you bring love without limit, and you: Roll away the stone.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.Offertory Prayer Pastor Katie

God of great gifts: This morning we give you praise, we give you glory, we give you thanks! With resurrection humming in our hearts, our minds are tuned to your song of peace! We joyfully present these gifts to you, a tangible chorus of thanksgiving,a harmony of hope for your kingdom come! Amen.
