Middle School Lunch and High School Lunch
*Students MUST sign up with Ms. Niemczyk in advance
We will be discussing student concerns to be added to a School
Culture/Climate Survey. We are looking to get a feel for the
concerns of students in order to promote an environment of
respect, safety, and belonging for all students. A maximum of 12
students can fit in the meeting room at one time. Students will
need to sign up with Ms. Niemczyk either via email or in person
in advance. If this is an area of significant interest and the number
of students interested exceeds 12, we will continue this discussion
at the following Thursday Lunch Groups on December, 17th.
*A reminder that we meet during Recess either before or after
students have eaten their lunch. I will make a list of the students
signed up to give to the Lunch/ Recess monitors to ensure that
you are given permission to attend during recess.
I look forward to seeing you there!

Important News From The
Nurse
Did you Know? … Most headaches and stomach aches are caused by not eating
enough or drinking enough water. Our bodies need fuel to function
properly. We get this fuel from the foods we eat. Without enough food
our organs, including our brain, will not function properly and we feel
symptoms of pain and illness. The average human body is 65% water!!!
This means we need to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Dehydration also causes or crucial organs to malfunction and cause
headaches, nausea and other symptoms.
This is why the nurse first offers crackers and water for headaches
and stomach aches. Taking medicine for a headache or stomach ache
only temporarily relieves some discomfort, but does not cure the cause
of the problem. Plus, medicines have side effects that are not good for
our bodies, and these are worse on an empty stomach. Medicine should
be a last resort. So help yourself feel good and stay healthy by eating a
balanced diet (not skipping meals) and drinking plenty of water.
Breakfast is actually the most important meal of the day; it gets our brain
and the rest of body functioning properly for the day.
