locations serving coffee
and tea.
The Hoosier Pie Trail made headlines in 2015 when it beat the Kentucky Bourbon Trail in a USA Today online contest. Hamilton County stops include Rosie’s Place in Noblesville and Lisa’s Pie Shop in Atlanta.
The annual celebration of Indiana’s signature sandwich is back for the sixth year. Follow the Tenderloin Trail to 50 restaurants throughout Hamilton County to try the bigger-than-the-bun breaded
pork tenderloin.
2. Treetops
Conner Prairie, Fishers’ living history museum, will open Treetop Outpost, a brand new exhibit, in July. The four-story tree house will be the focal point of the 10,000-square-foot outdoor experience area.
Flat Fork Creek, Hamilton County’s newest, park offers treetop views from tree house perches along two miles of trail and a massive sledding hill.
Strawtown Koteewi, the 750-acre park that welcomed Indiana’s largest archery-only range in 2015, will add an aerial trail system this spring. Three trails ranging from 15 to 50 feet above the ground will each consist of 12-15 stations.
3. Two hundred:2016 marks Indiana’s Bicentennial and we’re going all out to celebrate.
Many local attractions will offer Bicentennial events to celebrate Indiana’s birthday through
books, beer, fine arts and theater.
A massive parade of hometown heroes will
commence September 9. The Bicentennial Torch Relay will
travel 2,300 miles through all 92 counties in Indiana before landing at
the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis
Oct. 15.

Craving banana and coffee or ginger and Thai basil? One of
our newest breweries, Deviate Brewing, has garnered national attention for their off-the-wall, small batch beers.
Along with the once-in-200-years
Bicentennial Brew tours, the
BrewsLine is offering craft beer
tours throughout central Indiana
to local craft breweries.
