A word on water softeners…
They are designed to remove Calcium & Magnesium• Extremely effective • BUT they leave elevated levels of Sodium or
Potassium– Ionization Process Can Double Alkaline Minerals– Up to 610 ppm of Sodium or potassium– All the healthy calcium and magnesium is
removed– Not Recommended with Ionizer without RO

Common Installation IssuesRemove plugs prior to install
Properly Installing Water Lines
• Make sure to ensure the line is properly seated.• Install by firmly pushing the line into the fitting• Give the line a slight “tug”• If it doesn’t come out it is correctly installed

Leaky Diverters
Most leaks can easily be resolved with a few wraps of plumber’s tape
Common Start-up Issues
Check the filters first!!!
Initial Filter Flush• Every carbon filter requires flushing• Run water through the filter until clear
Water with Carbon Dust at First Clear Water after Flushing
Initial performance testing• Use the pH reagent included in your ionizer box• Make sure NOT to use pool test strips – they do not
measure a full range of pH• Use the included vials or glass. Clean thoroughly (test
results can be skewed otherwise).• Add water to be tested – 1 inch in glass or vial.• Add 3 drops.• Compare to color chart
Use and MaintenanceChanging Filters
• Open filter door(s)• Remove expired filters• Depress the spring loaded
filter cushion down• While pushing down on
spring, tilt filter body out• Remove• Repeat steps in reverse
to install new filter
Reset Filter Counter(s)
• Open filter door(s)• Locate and depress the
filter reset button for 5-10 seconds or until you hear an audible “ding”
