The Bestlite Collection, 1930

Bestlite has been in continuous production since 1930. Robert Dudley Best (1892 – 1984) was fascinated by theBauhaus movement’s lean design and revolutionary demands for a new era free from superfluous decoration. It wasin this spirit that he designed the Bestlite lamps. Its unique aesthetic and functionality have made it a contemporarydesign icon.// Designed by Robert Dudley Best

Table lamps, floor lamps, wall lamps and pendantsThe Bestlite collection includes table lamps, floor lamps, wall lamps and pendants in several sizes. The materials arechrome-plated steel stems and fittings, and powder-coated aluminium shades. On the table lamps and floor lampsthe base is made of powder-coated aluminium with an integrated steel counterweight. All wires are textile coveredwith colour matching the shade and base. The Bestlite collection is also available in brass where all steel parts havebeen substituted with solid brass material. To obtain a maintenance-free brass surface, a surface layer of clearlacquer has been applied.

A small key is included to tighten the joint of the lamp arm if needed.

The Grossman Collection, 1950 Greta M. Grossman (1906-1999) was a Swedish designer and architect. She immigrated to the US in the 1940’s where she played a significant role in defining the aesthetic of mid-century Californian modernism. The iconic Gräshoppa lamp was first produced in 1947 and the Cobra lamp in 1950, which later won the prestigious Good Design Award. Today, her designs are highly collectible and are sold at auctions all around the world. In Grossman’s products everything is unique in their lightness of form with elegant, asymmetric lines. // Designed by Greta M. Grossman Gräshoppa The iconic Gräshoppa lamp comes in three versions; Floor Lamp, Task Table Lamp and Pendant. The Floor Lamp has a tubular steel tripod stand, which tilted backward. The tubular steel stand on the Task Table Lamp is mounted on a steel base. For both lamps are the elongated steel conical shades mounted with a free moving joint in solid brass, consequently the light can be directional, yet the glare is minimal. Both stands and shades are powder-coated. The Pendant shade is fixed with a brass tube and brass fittings on the top. For mounting to the ceiling, the Pendant is equipped with a steel bracket covered by a half round sphere canopy in brass and a brass tube. Shade is powder-coated.

Cobra The classic Cobra lamp takes its name from the shape of the oval shade, which is reminiscent of a cobra´s neck. The Cobra lamp comes as a Wall Lamp, Table Lamp and Floor Lamp. The Wall Lamp has a solid brass arm that joins the wall base and shade. The shade can be tilted 90 degrees from vertical to horizontal and it can be rotated 360 degrees. The base cover and the shade is in powder-coated steel. A bracket for the mounting on the wall is integrated in the base. Both the Table Lamp and the Floor Lamp have a tubular flexible arm that can be bent in all directions whilst the shade can be rotated through 360 degrees. The base is covered in powder-coated steel and weighted with cast iron stand.

62-Series - Desk and dresser Designed in 1952, but named “the 62-series” because they were deemed to be ten years ahead of their time. The slender metal legs with the small solid wood spheres are a contrast to the sharp rectangular shapes, giving the furniture a characteristic appearance of lightness, the pieces almost seeming to defy gravity. It is made in American walnut, legs in powder-coated metal and a deep, black, full gloss finish on the top plates and doors. The “62-series” is made to order. // Designed by Greta M. Grossman

Pedrera Collection, 1953 In 1955, Barba Corsini renovated the loft space within Antonio Gaudi's famous building "La Pedrera" in Barcelona, transforming it from a simple laundry room and storage area into 13 modern duplex apartments. To reinforce the modernist style of the rooms, Corsini decorated the apartments with furniture that he designed himself, including Pedrera lamps and tables. Corsini achieved great international recognition for his architecture and design for La Pedrera. The inspiration for the base of the lights came from the vaulted ceilings of the famous house of "La Pedrera” whilst the cylindrical shape and unique, perforated detail of the chimneys influenced the form of the lampshades. The Pedrera table completed the overall architectural experience of the flats. // Designed by Barba Corsini & Joaquim Ruiz Millet Table lamps, floor lamps and pendants The PD2 floor lamp was originally created by Barba Corsini. The rest of the collection is a direct inspiration from this. The H2O series was later created by Corsini in association with his protégé, Joaquim Ruiz Millet. The ANA pendant and ABC lamp were designed later by Ruiz Millet as a tribute to his mentor. The lamps are made from perforated steel plate, powder-coated or nickel-plated.

Semi Collection, 1968 The Semi lamp was designed in 1968 as a product of the creative partnership between the two architects, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. Semi is a unique pendant lamp, based on two quarter-circles put together, back-toback. Ronde Collection, 2013 Ronde is a traditional archetype of a pendant lamp with a bell-shaped spun aluminium shade. A unique detail is the opening on the top with an overhanging collar that reminds of a jar such as a vase or an amphora. In this design the light spreads out of the spout-like opening and casts a smooth light gradient at the wire and ceiling. //Designed by Oliver Schick Ronde is in several languages the word for round, circular or rotating but it is also the flat blank used for metal spinning technique, which is rotating around a mould core and shaped to a 3-dimensional body.

Turbo Collection, 1965 Louis Weisdorf’s Turbo Pendent. The lamp was first put into production in 1967 and has achieved great success over the years. It illustrates design at its best: it is simple in form, yet complex in structure and combines a sense of airiness and strength in a beautiful sculptural whole. The inspiration for the lamp is the lightness of the Chinese paper lamp but in a more durable and sturdy version. //Designed by Louis Weisdorf The outer curve of the lamp is made of 12 aluminum spiral lamellae that form a flower-like globe that shields the light of the bulb and the vertical lamellae prevent gathering of dust.

Adnet Collection, 1950 Jacques Adnet was best known for his Art Deco Modernist designs, his partnership with Hermès and as an icon of French Modernism. He was one of the first to integrate leather, metal and glass in the structure and decoration of furniture. His style is the epitome of luxury and he created a legacy of fine design that feels “modern” even today. Both the Adnet Circulaire and Rectangulaire were designed in the 1950’s after his partnership with Hermès and both mirrors are produced in Italian full-grain leather with unique brass details. // Designed by Jacques Adnet Mirrors – Circulaire The circular mirror is available in either black or brown leather with strap and in three sizes. The length of the leather strap that supports the mirror is in direct proportion to the mirror diameter. The depth of the mirror frame is 7 cm, the strap width is 3.5 cm. Buckles made in solid patinated brass. Includes hanger in solid brass and wall mounts. Mirrors - Rectangulaire The rectangular mirror is available in either black or brown leather with brass rivets and in three sizes. It is covered in full grain leather with brass rivets. The mirrors can be used freestanding or mounted on the wall. The depth of the mirror frame is 6 cm. Wall mounts included.

The Matégot Collection, 1954 Mathieu Matégot’s organic forms and lightness of touch in his designs create a sense of joy. At the same time he used groundbreaking and innovative techniques. Matégot was the first person to combine metal tubing with perforated sheet metal – “rigitulle”, a pairing that characterises his work. Demon Shelf, Copacabana & TrolleyThe Biblio-Démon modular shelving system has a beautiful and timeless design. Consisting of black painted metal brackets and three to five shelves, which are available in four different lenghts, it is possible to combine a number of different systems.The Copacabana Chair's construction is based on a curved tubular frame surrounding the round seat and the back made of perforated sheet metal. The loose cushion is made in leather or fabric with matching buttons and piping. The Copacabana Lounge table is decorated with large round perforations on the table top supported on three slender legs. The lounge table is lacquered and available in black.The spacious tea Trolley with two trays in perforated steel is connected by steel tubes, includes a newspaper holder and has rotating castors. The Quistgaard Collection, 1966 The distinctive Quistgaard Safari Chair is one of Jens Quistgaard’s most successful furniture designs and was designed in 1966. Many of Quistgaard’s designs, he created 4500 different designs in his career, have been awarded numerous prizes and are part of the permanent collections at both the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris. The Safari Chair is one of a kind and is today considered an international design classic. The inspiration comes from boats and this can be recognised in the detailing of the design. // Designed by Jens Quistgaard Lounge chair The Safari Chair is made from solid dark-stained oak and chromed steel frame. The upholstery is always black aniline leather. It is assembled only by the unique frame joints and without the use of any screws, bolts or tools. The wood sticks are fitted into the metal frame, and then the leather backrest is inserted to hold all the constituent parts together in tension.

Gubi Chair Collection, 2003 The Gubi Chair, designed by Komplot Design, was the first furniture design to be based on the innovative technique of moulding three-dimensional veneer. The 3D design gives the chair comfort and a sense of lightness – with all edges pointing away from the user. The thickness of the veneer is reduced to half of that normally used due to the very strong 3D design. The Gubi Chair is included in the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. // Designed by Komplot Design Chairs, stool and lounge series The Gubi Chair collection comprises side chairs, stacking chairs, lounge chairs and stools. All chairs are available in natural veneer or HiRek PP plastic, unupholstered or upholstered, front or fully, in a wide selection of fabrics or leather. The base is made from 11 mm solid steel rod in mirror chrome or black powder coating. A wood frame is also available in oak, black stained beech or American walnut.

The Leroy Collection, 2007 The Leroy Collection features two unique and very sculptural designs: the Aoyama Table and the A3 stool. Aoyama, a district in Tokyo famous for its fashion houses, restaurants and interesting shops, is where Paul Leroy found his inspiration for the Aoyama table. The inspiration for the stool frame is the letter ‘A’ whilst the seat dimensions match a sheet of A3 paper. // Designed by Paul Leroy Stool The A3 stool consists of a moulded foam seat fully upholstered in either fabric or leather and a frame that comes in powder painted or chrome plated steel.

Table is notable both for the simplicity of its form and its construction; it is functional, thoughtful and contemporary. The Holmquist Collection, 1956 This timeless and iconic Paradiset Collection, designed by Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist, was created during Holmquist's employment with NK - Nordiska Kompaniet in the 1950's and holds a soft simplicity. All designs are unique in their appearance - light, clean lines and gracious with an air of romance. She named her pieces inspired by "Paradiset" (Swedish name for Eden or Paradise). The first piece was - the feminine Eva Chair and later followed its counterpart, the Adam Chair. To compliment the two lounge chairs she also created a sofa the - Paradiset sofa and a foot stool – the Fig Leaf. // Designed by Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist Sofa, Chairs and foot rest Paradiset is a 2.5 seater sofa constructed with a frame of solid beech and fully upholstered. The lounge chairs are fully upholstered in a moulded polyurethane foam and the foot stool is fully upholstered with block of foam on plywood. All furnitures have matching hand sewn piping with matching buttons and solid wood legs in mat lacquered oak, walnut or black stained wood. The pouffe fits to both the Adam and Eva chair.

Bonaparte - Sofa, easy chair and pouffe The Bonaparte series comprises a sofa, lounge chair and a pouffe. The series has a wooden frame covered with polyurethane foam. The upholstery on the frame is fixed. The detachable and reversible seat cushion for the chair and sofa is made of polyurethane foam with springs. It is available in a wide range of fabrics. The legs are in solid black stained beech or oak.

Diva - Daybed The Diva Daybed is made with a wooden frame and the mattress, top, back and arm cushions are made of polyurethane foam. The covers are detachable once the buttons are removed. It is available in a wide range of fabrics. The sofa is equipped with cylinder legs in solid aluminium. The back bracket is in chrome.

INUIT - Daybed The Inuit has a wooden frame and a mattress of polyurethane foam. The cover is made of Greenland sealskin of the highest quality, the pillow is made of black aniline leather.

Gubi Pouffe The Gubi Pouffe is available fully upholstered in a wide range of sizes and combinations. The pouffes are made of polyurethane foam and all covers are detachable. It is available in a wide range of fabrics.

GENERAL SALES AND DELIVERY CONDITIONS

1. Validity These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery shall supersede all previous agreements and shall apply

to any agreement made between Gubi A/S and its customers unless otherwise agreed.

All prices in the present pricelist are valid from January 1st 2015 and replace all former pricelists.

GUBI reserves the right to change specifications and prices without prior notice.

GUBI reserves the right to raise prices without prior notice as a result of increases in the exchange rates, increases

in the price of raw materials, processing, packaging and other sudden changes in costs, including exchange rate

increases for imported products or products processed abroad.

2. Selling prices All prices are in euro both Excl. VAT and Incl. VAT

The prices in the price list are stated exclusive of transport packaging such as pallets and containers.

All information and prices shall be regarded as recommended and shall be binding only if they are stated expressly in

GUBI's order confirmation or other written agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed, quotations submitted by GUBI shall be valid and binding for 60 days.

Prices are exclusive of delivery and installation. Installation is according to a set price list.

3. Orders Orders shall be regarded as having been accepted definitively when a written order confirmation has been issued. All

orders shall be entered at the prices in force on the date of receipt of the order.

Orders for custom designs and upholstered furniture cannot be changed or cancelled once the order has been

confirmed in writing by GUBI.

4. Delivery Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery shall be ex works. The customer shall assume the risk of the product the

moment the customer or the customer's carrier signs for receipt.

The products shall be sent using standard packaging.

The confirmed delivery date is only an estimated date. GUBI cannot be held liable for any losses that the buyer may

suffer as a result of a delay or a non-delivery.

In the event that the customer postpones delivery and informs GUBI thereof less than 10 working days before the

planned and confirmed despatch date, a storage rental charge of EUR 10,00 excl. VAT per pallet per month or part

thereof shall be payable; however, minimum EUR 40,00 excl. VAT per month or part thereof.

5. Payment and

ownership reservation

The terms and conditions of payment applicable from time to time shall be observed.

Unless otherwise agreed, payment for a shipment shall be made in accordance with the payment terms and

conditions of payment indicated on the invoice and order confirmation.

GUBI shall retain ownership of the products sold which are clearly described in the order confirmation, until the total

purchase price has been paid. The buyer shall be liable to GUBI for any damage to the products sold until the

products have been paid for.

6. Warranty Standard products

A two-year warranty is provided against manufacturing defects in standard products (materials and designs). The

warranty shall be valid for two years from the date of despatch.

Upholstery

The warranty on upholstery assumes that upholstery fabric and leather is included in the price list and is

recommended by GUBI. If the customer purchases, supplies and dyes his own fabric and leather, GUBI’s warranty

shall lapse.

Wear and damage to covers, surface treatment and similar shall not be covered by this warranty. The warranty shall

also lapse, if the products show signs of incorrect or extreme use or other physical damage.

7. Complaints and

non-conformities

The buyer shall inspect the shipment immediately upon receipt. The carrier shall be notified immediately of any

complaints and/or visible transport damage, which shall also be stated on the delivery note/waybill immediately after

receipt of the products.

Complaints regarding non-visible transport damage shall be made in writing to and reach GUBI no later than seven

days from the date of delivery.

Complaints of defects and non-conformities shall be made in writing to and reach GUBI no later than seven days from

the date of receipt.

The buyer shall not be entitled to return the products without GUBI’s consent. If the buyer, within a period of one year

from the date of delivery, can prove that some of the products purchased are defective, GUBI shall remedy the non-

conformity at the location specified by GUBI or, at GUBI's option, arrange for replacement delivery. If it is not possible

to deliver identical products, GUBI may offer to replace them with comparable products.

In the event of non-conformities in the products sold, the buyer shall only be entitled to have the non-conformity

remedied or the products replaced in accordance with the above-mentioned rules.

The buyer shall not entitled to cancel the purchase in full or in part or demand a proportionate reduction in price,

compensation or repayment, unless the non-conformity is caused by intentional or gross negligence on the part of

GUBI.

When the risk of the products has passed to the buyer, GUBI shall no longer be liable for defects which may occur

after this point, save for the obligations set out in this clause.

GUBI cannot be held liable for indirect losses such as loss of profits, lost time or consequential losses suffered by the

buyer as a result of defects and non-conformities.

Defective products to be repaired or replaced as agreed shall be accessible to GUBI.

In case of complaints made within the warranty period, GUBI requires a written and detailed description of the non-

conformity from the customer. The customer shall also supply a photo of the product to support the description or

return the product to GUBI for examination. GUBI's obligations in respect of the above shall not include the

consequences of incorrect or unusual use or storage under extreme temperature/climate conditions or use which is

not in compliance with GUBI’s instructions or any normal use of the product.

8. Returns Returns are only accepted by prior written agreement. Return goods shall be securely and properly packaged.

Unless otherwise agreed, the buyer shall bear the transport cost and risk of any defective products returned to GUBI.

9. Changes in design Prior to delivery and without prior notice, GUBI reserves the right to make any changes to a product's design that it

may find necessary or appropriate.

10. Product liability Under Danish Act No. 371 of 7 June 1989 on product liability as amended, GUBI shall be liable for defective products

delivered by GUBI which cause injury to a third party.

Under no circumstances can GUBI be held liable for any indirect losses such as loss of profits, lost time or

consequential losses, including legal costs incurred by the middleman.

The buyer shall inform GUBI immediately if the buyer is sued by a third party as a result damage or injury caused by

products manufactured by GUBI.

11. Non-assertion of rights If GUBI fails to exercise or assert one of the rights enjoyed by GUBI under these General Terms and Conditions of

Sale, such failure shall not be regarded as a waiver of such right by GUBI. This shall also not prevent such right from

being exercised or asserted at a later time.

12. Disputes and

governing law

Any dispute which might arise out of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery and any related event

shall, at GUBI's option, be settled by the Copenhagen City Court or the Maritime and Commercial Court in

Copenhagen in the first instance. All disputes shall be settled in accordance with Danish law.

13. Deviations from The General

Terms and Conditions of Sale and

Delivery

Deviations from these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery shall be permitted only by express written

agreement between the buyer and GUBI.

14. Typographical errors GUBI accepts no responsibility for typographical errors in prices, text and measurements.

General references is made to our general price lists applicable from time to time.
