The GRW Side Tipper trailer combination has outstripped expectations, and endorses a design that revolutionises the durability, function and look of side tippers.Partners to GRW, Schmitz Cargobull, developed the knurled bolts that are intrinsic to the overall functionality of the Side Tipper. The aesthetically designed unit is a result of employing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to calculate stresses and strains that are encountered in harsh environments.

Main features: Bin• The bin design offers better resistance to fracture, without

adding additional weight.• The bolted chassis can be repaired cost effectively.• Bolted connections have superior fatigue life than welded

connections.• Corner sections of a bin are historically weak components:

the absence of welding in the corners of the newly-designed pipe section enhances fatigue life.

ChassisPainstakingly designed and rigorously tested using FEA and strain gauges, GRW’s high-strength steel chassis is designed for reliability and modularity; with a combination of welded and bolted assemblies that increase fatigue life in high stressareas, and clamped peripherals for greater flexibility and ease of replacement. Electrics & LightningFull plug and play lighting systems ensure reliable lighting and ease of replacement.

Light options: individual combination lights are fitted with the option for stalk lights.

• The overall height of the bins have been limited for both the 40m3 and 45m3 bin capacities to allow for easy loading using standard sized loading equipment

• The bin design further offers better resistance to fatigue fracture, without adding additional weight, in the deliberate absence of welding in the corners of the newly-designed pipe section reinforced construction

• The bin sides are shaped for clean tipping and offers superior resistance to impact loads when being loaded

• The bolted chassis, made up by sub-assemblies which can be kept in stock, can be repaired promptly and cost effectively

• This is made possible by making extensive use of the bolted connections which also offers superior fatigue life as opposed to the use of welded connections in critical locations

• Despite offering all these benefits, payloads achieved matches the best in class available in the industry

• The chassis is robotically welded, then shot blasted and powder coated to offer superior structural integrity, corrosion resistance and aesthetical appearance

• Hydraulic plated steel pipe ends are mechanically forged to offer excellent leak-free resistance to in-operation vibration,

• Furthermore, the hydraulic pipes are located along the side of the chassis allowing superior accessibility to perform maintenance and repairs,

• Tip cylinders are standard off-the-shelve selected and are already used extensively in the industry and are readily available for replacement if needed,

• Cylinder and bin pivot pins are surface hardened to offer excellent resistance to abrasion with resulting long life expectancies

• Even down to the tarpaulin cover, carefully tailored and crafted to keep the cargo dry, no effort has been spared to add value and quality to the last detail
