SPRING 2018SESSION 

Seahorse (4-5 year olds) This class is designed for children who have completed our Stingray class. Children must be ableto swim 10 yards with their face in the water and jump in and float without assistance beforeentering this class. In this class, children will learn how to swim freestyle across our main pool. We will also introduce backstroke, breaststroke kick, treading water, and diving. Children who pass this class will move onto elementary Level 3.Tues. 5:30pm, Wed. 8:45am, Sat. 11:15am

Aqua Shrimp 1 (3-12 months) Parental assistance and swim diapers are required.

This entry level program is designed to teach babies developmentally appropriate swimming skillsin our 92 degree warm pool. Adults will learn how to assist their children in bubble blowing, floating, kicking their feet, and reaching their arms while singing songs, and having fun.Mon. 9:30am, Thur. 5:30pm, Sat. 9:00am

Aqua Shrimp 2 (12-24 months) Parental assistance and swim diapers are required.

This class is designed to teach toddlers beginning swimming skills in our 92 degree warm pooland enforce safe habits around the water. Adults will assist toddlers in learning how to blow bubbleswith their mouth and nose, jump into the pool, kick their feet and reach with their arms, andindependently hold onto the wall. We will sing songs, play water games, and have a lot of fun!Mon. 10:00am, Thur. 6:00pm, Sat. 9:30am

Aqua Shrimp 3 (2-3 year olds) Parental assistance and swim diapers are required.

This class is designed for toddlers who have completed the Aqua-Shrimp 2 class. In this class, adults will assist their toddlers and help them learn how to improve their kick & pull, independently enter and exit the pool, and learn to roll over for air recovery. Toddlers will learn to return to the wall after jumping into the pool, and float after submersion, both beginning life-saving skills. This class will prepare toddlers for our pre-school program.Mon. 10:30am, Thur. 6:30pm, Sat. 10:00am

Level 1 (5-10 year olds)This entry level class, is for children who have little or no swimming experience. This class is designed to help buildconfidence in the water, teach water safety, and basic swimming skills. Safe water entry & exiting, blowing bubbles with face in the water, assisted front & back floating, elementary backstroke, jumping into the pool, and returning to the wall are taught during this class.Sun. 9:00am, Mon. 5:30pm, Tues. 6:25pm, Thur. 7:00pm, Sat. 9:10am

Level 2 (5-12 year olds)This class is for children who have completed our preschool program, or have passed level 1. This class is taught in our main pool. During this class, children will learn how to swim freestyle across our deep pool. Pocket breathing, backstroke, and kneeling dives will be introduced.Sun. 9:40am, Mon. 6:10pm, Tues. 5:45pm, Thur. 6:20pm, Sat. 9:50am

Level 3 (5-12 year olds)This class expands on the skills learned in level 2. Children will add pocket breathing into freestyle and be able to swim the length of our main pool. During this class, children will work on backstroke and be able to swim it across the deep pool. Standing dives will be introduced.Sun. 10:20am, Tues. 7:00pm, Sat. 10:25am

Level 4 (6-16 year olds) Ability to swim freestyle 1 length of our main pool, with pocket breathing is a prerequisite to this class. During this class, swimmers will learn to swim backstroke the length of our main pool. Goals for this class include gainingendurance while treading water, perfecting the standing dive, and adding endurance to freestyle. Breast strokewill be introduced.Tues. 7:00pm, Thur. 5:30, Sat. 8:45am

Level 5 (7-16 year olds) This class is for swimmers who completed level 4 of our swim program. In addition to maintaining endurance in free-style and backstroke, swimmers will work on the details of breaststroke. Flip turns and butterfly will be introduced.Wed. 7:05pm, Sat. 9:20am

Blue Dolphin (3-5 year olds) This entry level preschool swim class is designed to build confidence and help your child feel comfortable and safe in our 92 degree warm pool while wearing a life vest. Safe water entry &exiting, blowing bubbles with face in the water, assisted front & back floating, and jumping intothe pool are taught during this classSun. 10:20am, Tues. 10:10am, Tues. 5:15pm, Wed. 10:25am,Thur. 3:30pm, Sat. 10:30am

Swordfish (3-5 year olds) This class is designed for children who completed the blue dolphin program or are comfortable inthe water without a life vest, but still have minimal swimming skills. Skills taught in the blue dolphin class will be reviewed, and taught without the life vest in our 92 degree warm pool. Bobbing, floating, jumping into the pool, horizontal & vertical submersion, unassisted floating, and kicking will be new skills introduced during this class.Sun. 9:00am, Tues. 9:30am, Tues. 6:30pm, Wed. 9:45am,Thur. 2:50pm, Sat. 11:00am

Stingray (3-5 year olds) This class is designed to further develop skills taught in the swordfish class. Children will learn water safety, and learn how to call for help. Elementary backstroke, streamline, survival float, and freestyle will be introduced.Sun. 9:40am, Tues. 10:50am, Tues. 5:55 pm, Thur. 2:10pm, Sat. 9:45am

Level 6 (8-16 year olds) This class is for swimmers who have completed Level 5 of our swim program. This class is designed to perfect skillsin all strokes, gain endurance, and master flip turns. This class can be used for competitive and noncompetitiveswimmers to maintain their endurance and swimming skills throughout the year.No Level 6 in Spring 2018 Session. Stroke Clinics are available.
