•WhenpracticingChapter2withbothhandsontheHi-Hat,ignoretheHi-HatnoteaboveeachSnareDrumnoteandonlyplaythe
SnareDrum.
•WhenpracticingChapter7,playtheSnareDrumnotesasbothregularsnareandsidestick.
•Whenattemptingfasttempos,reduceyourstickheightandvolume.Drummingquietly,withashortrangeofmotion,ismoreefficient
andthereforeeasiertoplayfaster.
•Donotbediscouragedifyouareunabletoperformsomegroovesatfasttempos.Yourdrummingmaynotbedevelopedenoughtodo
so.Noproblem,that’swhatthisbookisfor!Continuepracticingthegroovesandincreaseyourtempoby2-4bpmforeachnewpass.
