Title: Grit

Inspirations: Birdman, Collateral, Heat, Breaking Bad, The Raid 2

Plot:

Here are several ideas:

1. MC is working with a character that is technically the villain and unlikable.

2. Combine Grit with this second idea youre currently working on.

Elements you want:

- Gritty stuff

- A gun fight (Optional)

- A reveal/twist

- Voiceover

- 4th wall breaks (Optional)

- The Paranoia

-30/40 minutes MAX RUN TIME!

I want a gritty story with a secondary character as a vision and a representative of the mcs subconscious whom makes the mc paranoid. Text needs to appear on screen to emphasise key words and there needs to be strong psychological themes throughout.

So I have an MC. Now I need a plot and purpose to the film.

2 MCs. Both are dealers/have a drug-related occupation. Throughout they do shit.MC2 seems to be the voice of reason etc.

Plot reveal: MC2 isnt real, never was, MC1 was always working alone and MC2 was in fact a representation of himself.

So how do I introduce them without it being too revealing or obvious?

Start the film with MC1 doing whatever. A couple mins in he gets a text from the buyer(?) he exits and walks to car where MC2 is waiting.

And so the story begins

They do something. Maybe MC1 is tired of it all and MC2 is his subconscious filling his head with shit?Or he fills the paranoia?

I could throw another MC in but then it becomes bloated.

I really want the original idea as it has the whole paranoia and love shit done so easily but unless I can get around the one location and somehow wedge it all in then I have to go with this.

Notes:

MC1 CANNOT text MC2 at any point! Its impossible and unexplainable if he does this!

She doesnt care she never caredyou could blow your fucking brains out in front of her and all shed be worried about is whether you got any on her shoes!

Id like to have that sense of the MC fighting himself but then theres no reveal.
