Hardware placement is optimized for system performance, allowing predefined hardware profiles to be chosen accurately, which is critical for solution functionality 3. Installation practices meet the hardware warrantee requirements Any changes to the installation process outlined within the GRID must be communicated when reporting installation details to GreenRoad post installation. This will ensure that any profile adjustments can be considered during account setup. Any changes made as a result of inaccuracies within the GRID must be communicated to GreenRoad’s Field Service team. GreenRoad Control Unit

GreenRoad Control Unit

Requirements:

The mounting location of the IMU in this vehicle requires the hardware to be secured to existing factory support bar with cable tiesThe specified location is protected from moisture and dust

Mounting Location: Front left hand side of the glove box cavity

Access:Access the location by removing the glove boxThis done by opening glove box lid and removing 4 TX20 screws

Cable Routing:Cables must be neatly bundled so not to interfere with vehicle harnesses and allow the glove box to open and close correctly.

Advisories:Take care not to disconnect any harnesses in the glove box cavity and air bag area of the dash.

GPS Antenna Location

GPS Antenna

Requirements:

Antenna must have a clear view of the sky, free of metal obstructionsAntenna must be oriented upward for GPS receptionAntenna must be secured using the adhesive pad, included in kit – additional security must also be provided with fabric tape and cable tie.Mounting surface must be cleaned with an alcohol wipe, included in kit

Location: GPS Antenna is mounted on the cross member inside right of the glove box cavity.

Access:Access the location by removing the glove box. This is done by taking out 4 TX20 screws.

Cable Routing: Cables must be run so not to interfere with vehicle harnesses and allow the refitting of the glove box.

Advisories:When bundling extra cables, make sure not to position bundle in a location that will obstruct the glove box mechanism

Cellular Antenna

Cellular Antenna

Requirements:

For best cellular coverage install the antenna high in the vehicleAntenna must be installed inside of the vehicleAntenna must be secured using the adhesive pad – additional security must also be provided with fabric tape and cable tie.Mounting surface must be cleaned with an alcohol wipe, included in kit

Mounting Location:The Cellular Antenna is mounted inside the dash, on the underside of top dash.

Access:Access the location by removing the glove box. This is done by taking out 4 TX20 screws.

Cable Routing:Cables must be run so not to interfere with vehicle harnesses and allow the refitting of the glove box.

Advisories:When bundling extra cables, make sure not to position bundle in a location that will obstruct the glove box mechanism

Acceleration SensorAcceleration Sensor

Requirements:

The Acceleration Sensor must be positioned with the direction “arrow” aimed to the front of the vehicle The output cable must be routed in a straight line for at least 6-inches / 15cm, in accordance with the “arrow” on the sensorThe Sensor must be securely fastened on the level mounting surface using the double sided adhesive, included in the kitThe sensor should not be located where any moving parts will come in contact, causing false readings

Mounting Location:

Under OBD plug cover trim, under hand brake

lever.

Access: The mounting location is found by removing the OBD plug cover trim.

Cable Routing:

Cable can be routed to the Control unit by following the consol channel up to the glove box cavity.Cables must be neatly bundled so not to interfere with vehicle harnesses and allow the proper refitting of the glove box

Advisories: Ensure that the sensor is mounted flat

Driver Display UnitDriver Display Unit

Requirements:

The mounting surface must be thoroughly cleaned and prepared prior to adhering the sensorUse alcohol pads for cleaning and the double sided adhesive that is provided in the hardware kitGreenRoad provides 3M Brand VHB tape for this purpose

Mounting Location:

The Driver Display is mounted on the O/S bottom corner of the windscreen

Access:Access by removing A-pillar trim. This is done by releasing push-in clip first, pull off rubber door seal and push clip out from behind.

Cable Routing:Route cable from lower center dash, across lower drivers dash & up to A-pillar

Advisories:

Display must be viewable from the Driver's position without obstructing the view of the road

Display must not obstruct or cause distraction from standard vehicle displaysDisplay should not be in direct path of vehicle climate control vents

Driver ID Probe (Dallas)

Driver ID Probe (Dallas)

Requirement:

Use a 9.5mm drill bit to mount the probe onto the steering column trim

The pressure fasteners should be firmly fitted to the rear of the probe and additional security should be provided with hot glue to prevent the probe being spun.

Mounting Location:

The Driver ID probe is to be installed to the underside of the steering cowling.

Access: Access the inside of this trim by removing 1x TX20 screw and 2 x PH2 screws from steering cowling.

Cable Routing:

Cable tie the cabling across the inside dash area to avoid any risk of cable becoming loose around the driver area.

Cables must be neatly bundled so not to interfere with vehicle harnesses and allow the proper refitting of the trim

Advisories: Ensure the cabling on the rear of the trim is kept away from the adjustable steering mechanism

Power ConnectionsPower Connections

Requirements:

12 - 24 Volt DC Constant Power Supply

Power connections must be secured with a piggy back fuse holder at the interior fuse box. Additionally, wire ties and torque seal should be applied to the GreenRoad fuse for security

Source Location:Power source is available at the rear passenger side fuse box. The live should be taken from the 30 amp Window fuse.Earth to be taken to the chassis.

Access:Access the location by opening the rear fuse board cover.

Cable Routing:Cables must be routed from the rear to the front of the vehicle, secured using cable ties and fabric tape.

Advisories:A detailed post installation vehicle inspection must be competed after the installation to ensure the proper function of all vehicle systems

Reset Switch

Reset Switch

Requirements:

The Reset Switch must be secured to the inside of the glove box housing.When mounting the reset switch , check clearances to ensure that the switch will not be triggered by vibration after vehicle reassembly.Mounting surface must be cleaned with an alcohol wipe, included in kit

Mounting Location: Mount on the inside wall of the lower center dash

panel, right side of passenger footwell.

Access: Access – as shown

Cable Routing:

Cable can be routed to the Control unit by following the consol channel up to the glove box cavity. Cables must be neatly bundled so not to interfere with vehicle harnesses and allow the proper refitting of the glove box
