food for our Jerusalem First Mission Day. We

will also need people to help pack and distrib-

ute those boxes.

Children’s Mission Weekend

We saw over 180 in attendance this year, at our annual, “Children’s

Mission Weekend” at Cedar Glade. Our Leaders did a wonderful job prepar-

ing a fantastic program, and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.

The Children’s Mission Weekend is always a great prelude to children’s

camp, which is July 7-11. A special thank you to everyone who worked so

hard, to make the weekend a great success.

“Jerusalem First” May 18, 2018

I am tremendously excited that, once again, we are back in the saddle with “Jerusalem First.”

When it comes to our evangelistic efforts, we should start in our own backyards, before traveling to

other parts of our mission fields (Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost). On May 18, there will be

block parties, medical/dental clinics, evangelism, construction, prayer walking, yard work, and

food distribution projects going on all over Paragould. It’s going to be an awesome day, and I hope

your church is fully involved in this powerful effort. Start your registration as soon as possible,

and it’s not too early to start your food drive, as well. Let us know how our office can help you get

started. You may begin registering now on line at www.greenecountyba.com.

Wanted Hard Workers

Many years ago, in our Baptist Hymnal (1956 Edition), there was a section that I called

“work” songs. These so called work songs included titles like, “We’ll Work Till Jesus Comes”, “Work

for the Night Is Coming” “To The Work” , “Bringing in the Sheaves” and “Bring Them In”. As a

child, I would listen to our adults sing these old songs, and little did they know, that those old

songs, and the fervency in which they sang, made a great impact upon my life and my young

heart.

Today, we must remember that hard work is still a necessity to seeing people come to know

Christ, and that hard work is required to discipling the saved. Now is the time to be planning for the

summer. Now is a time to plant, so that in the days to come, we may see a great harvest of wonder-

ful lives. And remember, all of this requires hard work!

Brother Dave

P.S. Easter is the most important season that we celebrate as Christians and as Baptists. May this

years Easter Celebration be a great, great celebration in our churches. As individuals, let us strive

to get all that we can get from this special season. Let our hearts be moved by the love that our Lord

showed some two thousands plus years ago. Let us be moved so that we share this love with our lost

and dying world. Have a wonderful Easter!

This Year’s Children’s Missions Weekend

was one for the books! We saw nearly 200

people present, and so many precious seeds

planted for the Kingdom.

This year, we had Bro. Alex West as our Mis-

sions Weekend pastor, and Ms. Jenni Lamb,

as our worship leader. The weekend was full

of fun had by all, but more importantly, dig-

ging in and learning about God’s Word and

missions!

Our Children’s Team worked together so that

we could have, not only a missions weekend,

but a prelude to this year’s Children’s Camp.

We are working hard towards including all

of our churches, and making it possible to see

as many sweet children, learn about Jesus, as

possible!

Nettleton Baptist Church

Jonesboro

Monday, April 8th

5:00 PM-8:30 PM This summer, kids will focus in on some

amazing, real-life encounters with Jesus.

Each encounter is like a snapshot—a spe-

cial moment in time -captured on the pages

of Scripture. Through VBS, kids will discov-

er that each snapshot of Jesus is an opportuni-

ty to respond to the Gospel. When put togeth-

er, these isolated encounters, clearly reveal the

most amazing truth of all—Jesus Christ is

the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believ-

ing, we can have life in His name.

Are you ready for an up close and personal

encounter with Jesus? The adventure of a life-

time awaits!

Join us for the adventure at our State VBS

training on April 8th, at Nettleton Baptist

Church in Jonesboro. We look forward to see-

ing you there! For additional information,

please contact Emily Smith at 1-800-838-
