Presentation of this year’s projects of the Association:
-Greater Europe Peace Orchestra
-“TraveLink Greater Europe” and “99 seconds to Greater Europe”
-Think Tank of the Youth Association for Greater Europe
12:30 – 13:00: Opening Concert of the “Greater Europe Peace Orchestra”
The orchestra will bring together musicians form Ukraine, Russia, France, Georgia and Germany. The
concert will be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and to the promotion of peace
on the European continent. The orchestra will play Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Dvorjak, Mozart and
Mendelssohn. This orchestra is the result of a project developed by participants of our forum last year, who
are from France and Russia.
The programme includes:
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Serenade for strings (first movement)
Johannes Brahms: Hungarian dance n°16 arranged by Parsa Shomali (Iran)
Antonín Dvořák: Slavonic dance op.72 n°7 arranged by Arshia Samsaminia (Iran)
13:00 – 14:30: Reception
14:30 – 16:30: Conference about the Power of Civil Diplomacy

THE GREATER EUROPE PEACE ORCHESTRA
Flagship project of the 2015 Paris Forum
The Greater Europe Peace Orchestra (GEPO) is one of the major projects that emerged during the
2014 Forum in Paris, held under the patronage of the UNESCO.
The Greater Europe Peace Orchestra gathers gathers high-level young musicians from Ukraine, Russia,
France, Germany, the UK and other European countries, eager to promote peace and cultural cooperation
through music. At the end of July 2015, the yearly Forum of the Youth Association for a Greater Europe
will take place in Paris. Several conferences on the subject of peace will be organized, especially at the
UNESCO headquarters and in Sciences-Po Paris. On this occasion and in the framework of the 70th
anniversary of the End of World War II, the GEPO wishes to inspire discussions with two concerts for
peace.
