What is a noun?

A word that names a person, place or thing is called a noun.

PersonMy cousin and his friends are excited.

PlaceThey’re going to the circus. It’s in town.

ThingThey saved their money for the tickets.

One noun is underlined in each sentence. Find the other noun.

1. The clowns have funny noses.

2. Their hats and shoes are floppy.

3. Trained elephants do tricks.

4. Their long trunks spray water.

5. The lions and tigers are scary.

6. A young girl ride on a pony.

7. The people always love the circus.
