URBAN KIDS | SPRING CAMPAIGN 2018

TARGET AUDIENCE:To appeal to fashion forward young parents from the low to middle income family who have children aged 4-12 year old.

PROJECT:The aim for the Spring Campaign was to be fresh, fun, and crisp. For this particular project, I was fully in charge of the design and construction of the set. Using colourful paper backdrops and vibrant sheets of plexi-glass, we were able to create this pastel spring time vibe. I used these images in all the marketing for the Spring launch both online and instore. This campaign was successful as we achieved comp sales both online and instore during the spring season.

TARGET AUDIENCE:Young women aged between 20-35 years old, university educated, from urban centres with low to middle incomes.

PROJECT:This was a project completed during my time at Humber College. Our assigned project was to create a 3-page Ad campaign for a magazine that hits the target demographic. The ads are designed to be featured in Cosmopolitan magazine and are aimed at women to make Elora craft beer their drink of choice for their next night out.

TARGET AUDIENCE:Executive board members of the Rideauwood Addictions and Family Services Center. Designed to be bright and friendly so the annual report can be used to communicate their services to the community.

PROJECT:The aim was to create an annual report that was clean, well laid out, and met the deadline and page restrictions.

After discussing the project with my client, and looking at examples of annual reports they admired, I created mockup pages for the cover, table of contents, and letter from the Executive Director. With this, the client was able to visualize the project and provide information that honed the design. After this style guide was established, I worked flowing the content in and created infographics to help communicate their message in a dynamic and eye-catching way.

This was successfully completed in time for their 40th anniversary executive board meeting and copies have been used at community events to help market and introduce people to their amazing services.

TARGET AUDIENCE:To appeal to fashion forward young parents from the low to middle income family who have children aged 4-12 year old.

PROJECT:The onesie campaign is a large part of the Urban Kids yearly calendar. Launching at the beginning of October and running until Halloween, onesies are one of the highest grossing commodities. The campaign’s goal was to represent as many of the unique character designs of the onesies as possible in both our window displays, on floor signage, and online marketing. I created a concept that was fun and playful, that would reinforce the onesies character through decorative illustrations. Mockups were created and showed to the child models to help them visualize the project, helping me to successfully direct them into poses that would interact with the post-production illustrations. This project was successful as it was well received by both the stores and our executive team. Children’s onesies this year was in the top three best selling commodities at our company (this included all commodities from Urban Planet, Urban Kids, Stitches, Sirens, Suzy Shier, West 49, and Bluenotes).

TARGET AUDIENCE:Adventurous young adults between the ages of 25-35 from urban centres, middle income, college educated.

PROJECT:This was a project completed during my time at Humber College. Our assigned project was to create an original layout design for a 9 page magazine of our choice. I selected a travel magazine and created an art direction inspired by polaroid photography and geometric graphic elements. The project consists of a front cover, contents and masthead page, a four page spread and a two page spread.
