Where are we?

We are located off of Burton Street at Shawnee Park Elementary School.

A program of the Grand Rapids Public Schools/Kent ISD.

Staff is dedicated to an auditory approach of teaching.Our staff participates in ongoing workshops and conferences and is theNational Alexander Graham Bell Association’s Program of the Year 1979 & 1997.

80% of our students will be fully mainstreamed in their neighborhood schools at academic grade level by 6 years of age.

The Grand Rapids Oral Deaf program provides services for 20 school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District.

The Grand Rapids Oral Deaf program has an on-site audiologist, Jack DeBoerand an on-site audiology suite,complete with technology to continually monitor our kids.

Students have their hearing tested frequently in effort to maximize their abilities.
