The economy is improving, however, many of our business are facing hard times. We
invite our members and Sponsor companies to join the GPAEE Board in our Employ-
ment Initiative . To help our fellow energy professionals, the GPAEE offers the following
assistance for unemployed energy professionals :
1. Reduced fees for most monthly meetings. when registering for meetings, regis-
ter under student and unemployed rate of $5 for the specified meeting.
2. Unemployed members can post a free energy Position Wanted ad for 3 months in
our newsletter which currently reaches over 1,000 people.

Program Coordinator The program Coordinator supports the Executive Director
and will lead a a variety of administrative, operational com-
munications and program coordination efforts.
The Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA) has launched an

Staff Engineer/Engineer The Staff Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and
improving engineering processes by planning, performing
and completing engineering project design work within spe-
cialized discipline such as mechanical, electrical, civil, and
structural engineering. Developing engineering design con-
cepts, prepare estimates, develop and maintain scheduling,
specify equipment and materials , method of implementa-
tion and prepare specifications for projects related to opera-
tional needs; oversee the preparation of design drawings by
the Drafting Section. Developing designs for the installation
and distribution of natural gas to customers; meet with engi-
neers to review design problems, and ascertain the safest
and most cost efficient and time efficient manner .

UGI Energy Services
Gas Transport Analyst—Wyomissing, PA
Review gas nominations request daily from shippers utilizing
pipeline electronic bulletin boards. Schedule confirmed ship-
per nominations and communicate scheduled gas volumes
to shipper and UGI pipeline operations staff. Coordinate field
operating issues between UGI Gas Control operations depart-
ment and pipeline customers. Prepare information for cus-
tomer billing and send to Accounting. Evaluate daily shipper
requests for interruptible pipeline service and set up con-
tracts in UGI’s electronic bulletin board and complete associ-
ated contract confirmations. Assist Business Development
department in identifying and analyzing new opportunities
for expansion of UGI’s pipeline business and integration of
new transportation customers. Provide gas transport nomi-
nation assistance to shipping customers when necessary.
Supporting new/ existing pipelines regarding continuous
improvement, business process and process flow. Additional

Manage and perform measurement and verification of
energy efficiency and conservation plans of regulated elec-
tric utilities;
Conduct research and prepare expert analytic work product
on governmental programs and policies pertaining to regu-
lated and non-regulated aspects of the energy industry;
Manage and perform facility condition assessments in
accordance with industry standard protocols; and
Participate in business development through product and
services development and preparation of proposals.

Senior Energy Supply Manager
The Energy Auditor will perform the following tasks:
Assume full technical and administrative responsibility for
MEI’s energy supply consulting services group, including
business development;
Develop client-specific strategic energy supply plans pri-
marily for portfolios of electricity and natural gas accounts,
and implement such plans over a multi-year term;
Analyze load profiles and tailor supply products to clients’
needs;
Monitor relevant forward markets, and recommend and
implement hedging strategies;
Negotiate on clients’ behalf master supply contracts and
transaction confirmations with competitive energy suppli-
ers;
Monitor and report on contract performance relative to
client budgets and market trends;
Audit supplier bills and analyze utility tariffs to assure client
is on most advantageous rate schedule;
Establish and implement program for client’s purchase of
renewal energy credits;
Evaluate client demand response program opportunities
and integrate into client energy management portfolio; and
Educate clients on the regulated and non-regulated as-
pects of the energy markets.
