GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
RISE initiative has been broken into 3 sub-projects
Capture: P-20 student-focused data will be effectively and efficiently collected across multiple data sources including data such as student information, programmatic classifications and educator quality. The CDE is driving the Capture Phase
Link: Data will be effectively shared and exchanged across multiple agencies, as well as district, state and federal levels, to promote accountability, inform policy, and ensure a holistic view of student success. This phase of the project will be managed by the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and will be focused on the development and implementation of a unique identifier. The content of this Project Charter is focused on the Link sub-project of the overall SLDS program.
Provide: Stakeholders of the SLDS project include parents, guardians, students, educators policy-makers and researchers. During the Provide Phase of the project the CDE will create access, via interactive web portals, to understandable, timely and reliable information. Online content and collaboration tools used to provide information and improve student performance will also be implemented.
