Mark Vinall Co-opted Governor Chairman Responsibilities: Chair of Governors

Committee: Resources /Performance Management

Mark is a barrister at Blackstone Chambers in London,

specialising in commercial disputes, media and

entertainment law and public law.

Mark grew up in Reading before attending Jesus College,

Oxford. He and his wife, Pippa, moved to the area in 2002,

and have lived in Richings Park for the last nine years.

They have three children: the older two (now in secondary

school) are former pupils of IVJS, while the youngest is at

Iver Village Infant School.

He became a Governor in January 2015.

Chris Clarke Co-opted Governor Vice Chairman Responsibilities: Vice-Chair, English

Committees: Chair of Resources / Pay Review

Chris graduated in Computer Science from Canterbury

University in New Zealand, and has lived in the UK since

2000. He now leads the Business Transformation practice for

Pegasystems, a global software company.

Chris and his Scottish wife Claire have two children, with their

youngest attending Iver Village Junior School.

Chris has a keen interest in emerging technologies, and its

impact on our society. He has been instrumental in the

schools IT system renewal, and brings a professional

experience in IT and Management to the governing body.

Outside of professional interests, Chris enjoys travelling, DIY

and spending leisure time exploring the countryside with

Claire and the children.

Andrew Nurse Co-opted Governor Responsibilities: Chair of Curriculum & Standards

Safeguarding / Equalities

Committee: Curriculum & Standards / Pay Review

Andrew joined the Governing Body in April 2016 having moved to

Denham in 2014. Andrew was previously a governor of a

First/Middle school in central Harrow and a Sixth Form College on

Harrow Hill.

Having completed a Doctor of Business Administration

qualification in 2011, Andrew is a visiting lecturer at Kingston and

Worcester Universities in addition to tending a variety of

motorcycles and a garden.

He has 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren.

Jill Digweed Head Teacher Responsibilities inc lude: Head Teacher

Standards

Jill graduated from Reading University, in 1995, having studied for

a Bed (Hons) with Environmental Science. Jill started her teaching

career at Highworth Combined School in High Wycombe where

she held a variety of leadership roles including English subject

leader and Phase Leader. In addition, Jill spent a period of time

teaching in America developing her knowledge of teaching

techniques. When Jill returned to the UK she worked as a Deputy

Head in a High Wycombe school before moving to Iver.

Jill lives with a very demanding cat that requires lots of attention!

In her free-time Jill enjoys travelling, bike rides, reading and eating

out.

Rachel Bjorck Staff Governor Responsibilities include: SLT, Phase Leader, English Co-ordinator, Class Teacher

Rachel studied Biological Sciences at Warwick University

graduating with a First Class Honours degree. She then

worked as a cover supply teacher in a secondary school in

Wembley followed by completion of a PGCE at the Institute

of Education. She is now studying part-time for a masters

degree in teaching through the Institute of Education which

she is due to complete in 2017.

Rachel joined the IVJS team in September 2015 and is now

Upper School Phase Leader, Year 6 lead and English co-

ordinator.

Rachel is the proud owner of our wonderful school dogs,

Hugo and Ralph. She enjoys swimming and pilates.

Sam Dobson Co-opted Governor Responsibilities include: SEND / Pupil Premium Committee: Standards

Sam lives with her husband Alec and they have one

son who left Iver Village Junior School in 2017 to attend

secondary school.

She has worked within customer services for British

Airways for the last 21 years and in the last 3 years

taken on a training role within the company - training

new and existing staff with both new policies and

systems.

Outside of being a mum at school she enjoys walking,

cycling, travelling and of course shopping!

Terry Munn Co-opted Governor Responsibilities include: Maths / SEND / Pupil Premium Committee: Resources / Standards / Perf Mgt

Terry was born in Hillingdon Hospital in 1945. He

attended Pinkwell School, Hayes and Harlington

Secondary Modern School.

After leaving school, he joined BEA as an apprentice in

1962. He went on to work for BEA as an

engine/airframe engineer. This led to him becoming a

licensed engineer, supervisor, planner and manager -

responsible for the serviceability and punctuality of

BA's short haul fleet out of Terminal 1. Terry retired in

2007.

In his personal life he married wife Christine in 1968

and they have and son and daughter. Childcare (with

Wife) for three beautiful grandchildren with all that

implies takes up a lot of his time.

In his spare time he enjoys bee keeping, keep fit, dance

lessons and duck keeping. Furthermore he is a

gardener, decorator and general handyman. He is

currently a member of Patient Participation Group at

The Medical Centre, West Drayton.

One of his proudest moments is that he was at

Wembley to see England win the World Cup in 1966!

Josh Barrow Co-opted Governor Responsibilities include: Science / Development Committee: Standards

Josh studied Business Management at university and

now creates online educational courses professionally.

His passion is to enable people to enjoy learning using

innovative methods that stimulate the desire to acquire

knowledge.

Josh has interests in food, coffee, music and the arts.

Laura Price Parent Governor Responsibilities include: GDPR Committee: Resources

Laura studied performing arts at college.

She has lived in the local area for 11 years and

currently has 2 children who attend Iver Village Junior

School.

Her hobbies include reading and being the assistant

leader at the local Beaver Group.
