REPORT ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Entrepreneurship Development and Banking Assistance Awareness

Programme was jointly organized by Placement Cell and Commerce &

Management department of GFGC Jagalur on 11th

April 2018.

The Resource Person was Mr. Yerriswamy N.T- Lead District Divisional

Manager of Canara Bank-Davangere. He gave immense information to B.Com &

B.B.M students. Some of the important information given was:-

He motivated students to take up self-employment and become an

entrepreneur and gave information about financial support and various loans

schemes offered by banks to start-up businesses.

He created awareness about RUDSETI (Rural Development and Self

Employment Institute). This institute gives training on various skills and

promotes skill development.

He also enlightened students about schemes of the government to promote

entrepreneurship like startup India, standup India, MUDRA Scheme etc.,
