He knows computers. And what he knows, he’s ready to teach you. When it’s all done and you’ve gobbled up all this wisdom? Don’t be surprised if your career launches into overdrive and your company names their
next new building after you. The Kirby Adams Building.......I mean, if your name is Kirby Adams, that is.
The introduction of Adobe Photoshop® changed the imaging world forever. As the definitive standard for photo editing it has become so embedded into society it now used as a verb! (FYI, Adobe forbids their employees for using it as such). Although Photoshop was created as an image editing tool to mimic techniques used in a traditional darkroom, it can be used for preparing photos for print, web, video and yes, even Facebook. Its feature rich a tool set to make a master of those who dare to think outside the picture frame.
We will give you a foundation to build your skills upon to make you a better artist. From simple product photographs to portrait retouching and even color correction, done the right way.
Photoshop, more than just a noun; it’s like a darkroom at your fingertips.
Back in the early days of desktop publishing we used programs such as Quark Xpress® and Pagemaker®. They were a lot like beating your head against the wall, because it felt so good when you quit! Adobe started with a clean sheet of paper to create InDesign filling the abyss where in-house designers, artists, marketing di-rectors and even administrative assistants of-ten find themselves. Whether making a simple flyer, advertisement or a thousand page catalog, InDesign is the go to application to create brilliant marketing pieces. By combining photos, logos, text and artwork, InDesign brings together all of the components to turn ideas into realities.
We teach you layout for creating pieces that get you noticed! It’s like having a personal print shop, right in your office!
When you were a kid did you get the little box of crayons or big box with the sharpener on the back? From its humble beginnings as a Post-Script typeface editor, Adobe Illustrator® has come a long way, now being the tool of choice for colorful logos, stylized type for signs and books and even banners.
With a wide array of drawing tools, we will teach you how to create stunning graphics for your sales flyers, product labels, web graphics and even PowerPoint® presentations. Build complex shapes and designs or scan a business card and edit it: Illustrator will unleash the artist in you like a pro! You can even make patterns for fabrics, wallpaper and posters!
Think of working in Adobe Illustrator; like Color Forms for grown-ups!
Adobe Acrobat® is like that genius you met that speaks 8 languages. Think of it as your personal translator for con-verting documents created
in nearly any application into files that anyone with the free Adobe Reader® can view. The PDF format has become the universal standard for allowing different programs and computer platforms talk to each other!
Whether a new business proposal, registration form, an artistic portfolio or service manual, Acrobat can build documents accessible just about anywhere, on just about any device. You can even take a printed document and make it an editable file in seconds. We’ll show you how to optimize and secure your files or share them with the world. Oh, and FYI, Acrobat supports 100+ languages. Genius!
