• Nikesh Arora: President - Global Sales Operations and Business Development of Google Inc since April 16, 2009. Previously, he served as President of International Operations since 2004. Before joining Google he was Chief Marketing Officer and a member of the management board at T-Mobile Europe. Masters degree from Boston College and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University. Nikesh also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Institute of Technology in Varanasi, India

Prior to joining the company, from May 2002 to June 2002, Alan was at Hewlett-Packard, a provider of technology products, software, and services. Prior to that, Alan worked at Compaq from June 1998 until its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard in May 2002, where he most recently served as Director of the Western Research Laboratory. Prior to that, Alan held various positions at Digital Equipment Corporation until its acquisition by Compaq in June 1998. Alan holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Masters of Science degree, and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Central Florida.

• John L. Hennessy : member of the board of directors of Google Inc. since April 2004 and as Lead Independent Director since April 2007. Since September 2000, John has served as the President of Stanford University. From 1994 to August 2000, John held various positions at Stanford, including Dean of the Stanford University School of Engineering and Chair of the Stanford University Department of Computer Science. John has been a member of the board of directors of Cisco Systems, Inc., a networking equipment company, since January 2002 and chairman of the board of directors of Atheros Communications, Inc., a wireless semiconductor company, since May 1998. John holds a Master’s degree and a Doctoral degree in computer science from the State University of New York, Stony Brook and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Villanova University.

• Google issued its IPO and went public on the NASDAQ exchange on August 19, 2004. The issue price was $85 per share.

• In August 2004, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, and Eric Schmidt, requested that their base salary be cut to $1. The company has offered their base pay be increased on many occasions but they have turned it down numerous times because, "their primary compensation continues to come from returns on their ownership stakes in Google. As significant stockholders, their personal wealth is tied directly to sustained stock price appreciation and performance, which provides direct alignment with stockholder interests.“ Prior to 2004, Schmidt was making $250,000 per year, and Page and Brin each earned a salary of $150,000.
