Sharing the good news of God’s Love through his Son to our local community and world!

    Plan of Salvation: John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave hisonly begotten Son, that whosoever shall believein him should not perish, but have everlasting

    life.

Romans 10:9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the

Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart thatGod hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt

    be saved.

A Message From Good News Press

Good News Press is an outreach publi-cation. The Christian message is oftenreferred to as the "Gospel," which means"good news." Specifically, it is the goodnews about Jesus — who He is, what Hehas done, and what He offers. Essentially, the message is that Jesus was God in theflesh, that He came into the world toreconcile humanity to Himself, and thathis salvation is freely offered to each per-son who will respond in faith. The Gos-pel message explains that salvation is on-ly possible through the Crucifixion andResurrection of Jesus. Through his sacri-fice, Jesus paid the price for our sinful-ness (rebellion against God), thus offer-ing us forgiveness. Then through his Res-

urrection He conquered death, removingit as the penalty for our sin and replacingit with the offer of eternal life that is onlyavailable from Him to all those that placetheir faith in Him.

-- This week a FOX News commen-tary by National Marriage Week USA(February 7-14) makes the case thatmarriage must be part of the currentpolitical debate about income inequali-ty and how to reduce poverty.(www.nationalmarriageweekusa.org/fox20140122)

"Today 53% of all babies born towomen under age-30, are born out-

side of marriage," said Sheila Weber, executive director of National Mar-riage Week USA(www.nationalmarriageweekusa.org) ."If we had the marriage rates todaythat we had in 1970, we'd have 25%less poverty."

"The decline of marriage is our mostneglected national emergency," saysWeber. "Yet the wealthy are doing a

better job at keeping marriages intactand their children are benefitting fromthe influence of both male and femaleparenting influence and from enrichingeducational habits in those homes.""We must find ways to help impover-ished single mothers learn more abouthow to enrich their own home life;and despite their current circumstanc-es, to give their own children a visionSee National Marriage Week Page 7

Are You A Doer of the

Word? By Mark & Tinsley BakerWhen you are born again, you become a newcreature. Old things are passed away and allthings have become new. You are new, yourspirit has been recreated in the image of God.God’s nature dwells in you. God’s nature islove. If God’s nature dwells in you, then youare full of the love of God! We should walkin that love, everyday! However, there ismore to being a Christian, than going aroundloving everyone. We are to do the commandments of the Lord.

James 1:22-25: "But be doers of the word, andnot hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For ifanyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer,he is like a man observing his natural face in amirror; for he observes himself, goes away, andimmediately forgets what kind of man he was.But he who looks into the perfect law of libertyand continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearerbut a doer of the work, this one will be blessedin what he does."

James is writing to believers in this letter, notunsaved people. He is telling them to beblessed, they must do what the Word,God’s Word, says. Yes, we must walk in lovetoward everyone, our brothers and sisters inChrist, as well as our enemies. Yet, we have todo so much more. Let’s look at what God saidto Joshua when he took over the leadership ofIsrael, after the death of Moses.

Joshua 1:8: "This Book of the Law shallnot depart from your mouth, but youshall meditate in it day and night, thatyou may observe to do according to allthat is written in it. For then you willmake your way prosperous, and then you

will have good success."Are you studying God’s Word? Is it a priority inyour life. Do you read it daily and meditate on,think about, what you have read? Are youspeaking God’s Word in your life? Remember,

God tells Joshua the Word shall not depart

from his mouth, as well as telling him to medi-tate in it day and night, He is to speak scrip-tures to himself, to remind him what the Word

says. Jesus says inLuke 6:46,that we areto keep hiscommand-ments if welove Him.Is God firstin your life,or is your

job, yourfamily, yourcar, money- the thingsyou worship? One way to tell what you actuallyworship ( whether it is a good or bad worship)is to look at your life. What do you think about, talk about or worry about. If it is not God, thenyou need to reorganize your thinking. God andHis Word should be first in your life. The

wonderful working of Jesus at Calvaryshould be first in your life. Matthew 6:31-33: ""Therefore do not

worry, saying, `What shall we eat?' or`What shall we drink?' or ̀ What shall we

wear?' "For after all these things the Gen-tiles seek. For your heavenly Fatherknows that you need all these things."But seek first the kingdom of God andHis righteousness, and all these thingsshall be added to you. "Therefore do not

worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficientfor the day is its own trouble."When you are obedient to God, He will blessyou. It is as simple as that.Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with allthine heart; and lean not unto thine ownunderstanding. In all thy waysacknowledge him, and he shall direct thy

paths."1 Peter 5:7: "Casting all your care upon him; forhe careth for you." Are you trusting in Godwith all your heart, are you casting your cares( worries, concerns) on Him? Or are you pray-ing "Oh God help me, I can’t make it anotherday, if You don’t do something." Understand this! God has done all He can foryou! He gave His only Son to die in your place. With that death, He purchased a new life foryou. A life full of God’s answers! You need to study the Word and find thoseanswers and then claim them for yourself!

Romans 8:14: " For as many as are led bythe Spirit of God, they are the sons ofGod."When you were saved, you became a child ofGod! This means you have the rights and re-sponsibility of any member of a family. It is upto you to take advantage of these rights. How do I do that? Go back to what God told

Joshua, read the Word, meditate on it anddon’t let it depart from your mouth. Let me askyou something - are you looking at your life andyour problems from the world’s view or God’sview? Are you saying the world’s answers or

Doer of the Word Cont’d from Page 2 God’s answers? To trustcompletely in God and tolean not on your own wis-dom and experience meanslooking at God’s way - notyour way! His way may notseem logical or natural, butPraise God that’s what it is allabout! The way of the spir-it, the way of God, notthe way of nature or rea-son!"Well, I tried that once and itdidn’t work." Can you hearyourself saying this? There are several prob-lems with this: You tried. The truth is, you were triedby the Word of God. Wehave all been there. We need to learn from ourfailures as well as our suc-cesses, and then hopefully wewon’t have as many failures . Romans 10:17: "So faithcomes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by

the preaching of Christ."You hear the Word, the Willor commandments of Godand you act in faith and dothem , not try them!

Hebrews 11:1: "What isfaith? It is the confidentassurance that something

we want is going to hap-pen. It is the certaintythat what we hope for is

waiting for us, eventhough we cannot see itup ahead ."The Revised Standard Trans-lation of this verse says"NOW FAITH". Now Faith! Faith is always, always inthe present, the now !So, to trust completely in theability of God to answer yourprayers, meet your needs, isto believe now , that it willhappen.Faith is the tangibility of hope,It makes hope real. Faithmakes what you hope forcome about.2. You gave your problems toGod - but - you took themback!

You didn’t see the answer inthe way you thought it shouldbe, or in the time frame youthought it should happen andyou gave up. You leaned onyour own understanding

and not God’s! The prophet Isaiah tells usthat God’s ways are not ourways. Your ways are con-trolled by the world. Andwho is the god of this world -Satan, not God. So if youthink God should answeryour problems your way, then you are asking God todo something in a way that isimpossible for Him to do.

3.You did not pray correctly. James 4:3: "or you pray

and yet do not receive, because you pray wrong-ly, your object being to

waste what you get onsome pleasure or anoth-er ."Another reason trusting inGod did not seem to workfor you, is because when youprayed, you ask for thewrong reasons. If you askedout of selfish reasons, be-cause it was something inyour favor or for your good

only - then you need to re-examine your prayers. LetGod show you through HisWord the true way to pray.It is very simple, if you walk nContinued on Page 7

Number of After - School Good News ClubsContinues to Grow Since 2001 Supreme Court

Ruling in Support of Child EvangelismFellowship

The number of after-schoolGood News Clubs, Bibleclubs sponsored by Child

Evangelism Fellowship, thelargest Christian ministry tochildren in the world, grewfor the twelfth straight yearsince 2001, the year theSupreme Court upheld theclubs' right to meet afterschool in public schoolbuildings. At that time, there were 1,155 after-school GNCs in the UnitedStates, with less than17,000 children enrolled.By the end of 2013, therewere 4225 clubs attendedby 174,174 children. Also, impressive is the fact thenumber of children en-rolled at the end of lastyear is 11.5% higher than in2012.

After-school GNCs, whichrequire parental permissionfor a child to attend, offer ahealthy mix of engagingBible instruction, memoryverses, songs and fun-filledgames for elementaryschool children who aretaught that one's faith in

Jesus Christ is evidentthrough loving others. Tosee what real impact theafter-school GNCs arehaving on the publicschools, Child EvangelismFellowship conducted asurvey last year of 224 pub-

lic school principals in 28states. Of the principalssurveyed, 87.4% responded

that they had personalknowledge that after-schoolGood News Clubs havebeen "a positive experiencefor their school." 52.2%reported noticeably im-proved behavior on a partof the students who partici-pate in the Good NewsClubs. Said one of the re-sponding principals, "...thestudents who are in theGood News Club rarelyreceive discipline referralsto the office. Undoubtedly, the club has been a suc-cessful part in our curbingbullying and classroom dis-respect for the children."

"We are grateful for thepositive impact that after-school Good News Clubsare having on publicschools," said Mr. MoisesEsteves, vice president ofUSA Ministries for CEF,"Knowing that God lovesthem helps children to loveothers. Every day, we seechildren come to us whoare spiritually hungry, whoknow sorrow and broken-ness, and we see the gospelof Jesus Christ change theirlives." Take 18-year-oldKayla who credits the posi-tive direction of her life toher involvement in an after-school Good News Club as

a child. The Good NewsClub helped her over-come the emptiness shefelt by her father's aban-donment, she says, bysharing with her the loveof God. She benefited somuch from the GoodNews Club that at the ageof eight she led a GNC atrecess for her friendswho could not attend theafter-school club. "If therewas no Good News Club,if I never brought thatpaper [permission slip] tomy mom that this is

something I want to be in,"said Kayla, "it's kind of ascary thought to wonderwhere my life would be.The Good News Club kind

of changed my whole life. Itset the Lord in my life."

To keep up with the num-ber of after-school GoodNews Clubs around thecountry, CEF has increasedits full-time staff to 710 tohandle the demands oftraining, screening andequipping more than 25,000volunteers who lead theclubs. Still, the demandkeeps growing. Many princi-pals around the country areasking for Good NewsClubs. Thankfully, pastorsand congregations acrossthe country are becomingincreasingly interested inmeeting the spirituallyneeds of children. Manyhave agreed to partner withCEF and provide the volun-teers to lead a Good NewsClub in their local school."We are excited about themomentum that is grow-ing," said Mr. Esteves,"There are 65,000 publicschools in the U.S. Whatwe have accomplished sofar is just the beginning."

The question that many Chris-tians have today is, does heal-ing belong to us as it did tothe early church? There are 3basic beliefs on the subject ofhealing in the modern Chris-tian church.

Many believe healing hasbeen done awaywith, that it was onlyfor the early churchand not for us today.

This is probably themost wide spreadbelief.

Many believe God doesheal as He sees fit,or by some specialdivine act, or somespecial faith.

The last basic group be-lieves healing be-longs to us as part ofthe atonement ofChrist in the re-demptive plan ofGod, along with theremission of sins.

These are the 3 main attitudestoward healing in the body ofChrist today. The questionbecomes if the 3rd is right, how could the 2nd be right aswell? Many Christians havereceived divine healing orknow someone who did, if thisis true, why is not healing apart of the completed work ofour Lord Jesus Christ. DoesGod play favorites? Does Heheal based on His whim? Or isHe truly no respecter of Per-sons as His Word says He is?Is He truly the same yesterdaytoday and forever?Lets take a look at the Wordof God for the answers tothese questions!Psalms 103:1. Bless the Lord,O my soul; And all that iswithin me, bless His holyname!2. Bless the Lord, O my soul,And forget not all His benefits:3. Who forgives all your iniqui-ties, Who heals all your dis-eases,4. Who redeems your lifefrom destruction, Whocrowns you with lovingkind-ness and tender mercies,5. Who satisfies your mouthwith good things, So that youryouth is renewed like theeagle's.

    6. The Lord executes right-eousness And justice for allwho are oppressed.Even in the Old Testament wesee that His benefits includeboth forgiveness and healing. My question is has Godchanged in His attitude towardhealing the sick?Malachi 3:6. "For I am theLord, I do not change; there-fore you are not consumed, Osons of Jacob. The Lord God Himself says Ido not change. Aren’t you gladHe doesn’t?I think it is fair to say if theBible teaches divine healing, itwould be safe to teach even ifwe didn’t know of one singlecase of healing. But at somepoint in time we have to cometo the realization that God’sWord is true. We have tobelieve in the divine truth ofGod’s Word. Exodus 15:26. and said, "If youdiligently heed the voice of theLord your God and do what isright in His sight, give ear toHis commandments and keepall His statutes, I will put noneof the diseases on you which Ihave brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who healsyou.''Exodus 23:25. "So you shallserve the Lord your God, andHe will bless your bread andyour water. And I will takesickness away from the midstof you.If the attitude God had to-wards healing was for thechildren of Israel to be wholein the Old Testament, howmuch more now? Good ques-tion. If this was true then, andit was true according to HisWord, how much more now! Ibelieve we need to get somelight on this subject. The

Word teaches the entrance ofhis Word gives light, and un-derstanding to the simple. (Ps.119:130.)If I can get understanding ofHis will, and that will cause meto be able to receive the truthand reality of His Word then Iwant it, don’t you? Becauseknowing the truth is what setsyou free and makes youwhole. I’m not talking about amental ascent to the Word,I’m talking about true revela-

tion knowledge that comesfrom the entrance of HisWord. I believe healing for thebody is the legal right for eve-ry child of God, but just be-cause we have the legal rightto something doesn’t mean weare partakers of it, does it? Iwant to be a partaker of eve-rything the Word of God tellsme is legally mine, don’t you?Let’s look at how we can notonly know the truth but walkin the reality of it.Our faith can only be based onwhat the Word of God says. Itis sufficient for our faith. Wecan not have true faith outsideof the Word of God. Faithstarts where we know andunderstand the Word of God.There are reasons God's peo-ple don’t walk in His promises.

They can be out of God’sperfect will for theirlife.

Not judging ourselves asthe Word makes itclear we should.

Weak in faith.Ignorance of what the His

Word says. If youdon’t know thetruth, you can’t bemade free, can you?

God said through the ProphetHosea; Hosea 4:6 My peopleare destroyed for lack ofknowledge:God's people are destroyed, not because God doesn't care,(If he didn’t care Jesus wouldnever have come) but becausewe don’t understand. That is a very soberingthought. Maybe we need toget more knowledge!Sickness and disease originallycame from spiritual death, spiritual death came as a resultof sin. God told Adam in theday that you eat there of youshall surely die. We knowAdam did not die physicallythat day.Disease would never havecome on mans body if Adamhad not sinned. God’s attitudetowards sickness is the sameas it is toward sin. His attitudeis the same today as it was inthe Old Testament. He neverchanges does He? Christ cameto reveal God’s attitude to-ward man. If we want to see

    Does Healing Belong To Us?

By Mark and Tinsley Baker –

    Olive Branch Ministries

God’s attitude toward man inaction, all we have to do islook at Jesus! Jesus wasGod’s will in the flesh. Jesuscame to reveal the Fatherswill toward man.

John 14:9. Jesus said to him,"Have I been with you solong, and yet you have notknown Me, Philip? He whohas seen Me has seen theFather; so how can you say,`Show us the Father'?

Jesus plainly taught that op-pression is of the devil. When people were deliveredfrom the oppression of Sa-tan, their bodies were madewhole; in other words theirbodies were healed. Somewould say Jesus deliveredthem not healed them, butthe Word of God says Jesushealed those who were op-pressed.Acts 10:38. "how Godanointed Jesus of Nazarethwith the Holy Spirit and withpower, who went aboutdoing good and healing all

who were oppressed by thedevil, for God was with Him.This verse of Scripture saysthat oppression is of thedevil, not God. Jesus cameand healed ALL that wereoppressed of the devil.Luke 13:16. "So ought notthis woman, being a daughterof Abraham, whom Satan hasbound think of it for eighteenyears, be loosed from thisbond on the Sabbath?''

Being a daughter of Abrahamis another way of saying sheis a daughter of God’s Cove-nant.

Jesus said Satan has boundthis daughter of Abraham.God didn’t bind her, Satanbound her 18 years. Jesuscame to loose her, didn’t He?

Jesus was revealing God’swill toward mankind and Hiswill toward sickness andSatan. You will not find asingle instance in the New

Testament where God wasglorified by one of His peoplebeing sick, No Not One! Hewas glorified when His peo-ple were healed and set freefrom satanic oppressions.1 John 3:8. He who sins is ofthe devil, for the devil hassinned from the beginning. For this purposethe Son of God was mani-fested, that He might destroythe works of the devil.

As we have seen oppressionis of the devil, and Jesuscame to destroy the worksof the devil didn’t He? Jesuscame to destroy sin and

Jesus came to destroy op-pression which is a result ofsin.

John 10:10. "The thief doesnot come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. Ihave come that they mayhave life, and that they mayhave it more abundantly. If you are full of sin or sick-ness, you're not walking inthe more abundant life ofGod are you?You can be set free fromboth. I am not saying or im-plying that if you have sick-ness in your body that it isbecause you walking in sin,or don't love God, or arenot sincere in your belief, not at all.I know what it is like to besick and need healing. I be-lieve we have a part to playin this.We have to receive it andtruly acknowledge it. In myown experience it took near-ly 1 1/2 years before I couldfully receive the Word onthis subject. When I did I washealed. Just as we have toreceive and acknowledgethat Jesus shed His blood forus so that we can have eter-nal life, we must receive andacknowledge that Jesus bodywas broken so that we canhave healing for our bodies.

Faith comes from knowingand understanding the Wordof God. If you have neverbeen taught along these lines, you can not truly have faithin this area of your life. Faithcomes from hearing andhearing the Word of God.Whether it is for salvation orfor healing.A good place to start is thePassover. There were no sickamong the children of Israel, not one sick person. They All

partook of the Passovermeal. They were all deliveredout of the bondage of Egypt. And they were all healed. This was a type of the com-ing Christ and our redemp-tion.He told His disciples how topartake of the Passover meal.Mt. 26:26. And as they wereeating, Jesus took bread, blessed it and broke it, andgave it to the disciples and

said, "Take, eat; this is Mybody.''

    27. Then He took the cup,and gave thanks, and gave itto them, saying, "Drink fromit, all of you.28. "For this is My blood ofthe new covenant, which isshed for many for the remis-sion of sins.He told them to take and eatHis body, and to drink Hisblood. They had to partakedidn’t they, He offered it tothem, but they had to par-take of it. He told them topartake. It is God's will thatwe partake. That is some-thing He will not do for us.They didn't understand thisat that time. Later Peterlooking back at Calvary saidin; 1 Peter 2:24. who Himselfbore our sins in His ownbody on the tree, that we,having died to sins, might livefor righteousness by whosestripes you were healed.Peter was quoting Isaiah the53rd chapter. If you will get aconcordance and look at theHebrew you will see this wastalking about physical healing. It is not my purpose to placecondemnation on anyonewho is sick, God forbid. Mypurpose is to encouragepeople to reach out andreceive for themselves. Jesusdid not come to condemnthe world but that throughHim we might have life andhave it more abundantly. Iwant people to look thesethings up for themselves, andsee what the Word of Godhas to say on this subject. Ihave seen God's healingpower work in me and thatof my family and others aswell. I could share manymarvelous testimonies ofhealing. Testimonies canencourage, but our faith hasto be based on what God'sWord says, not onsomeone's testimony. Let'slook on…

Romans 6:14. For sin shallnot have dominion over you,for you are not under lawbut under grace.Thank God for His grace.According to God’s Word,we are saved by grace, andby grace we can defeat thedevil. As a matter of fact weare told to resist the devil.

James 4:6. But He gives moregrace. Therefore He says:"God resists the proud, but

Healing Cont’d from Page 6 gives grace to the humble.''7. Therefore submit toGod. Resist the devil andhe will flee from you. When we are submittedto God He gives us thegrace to resist the devil. But we have to do theresisting, God will not dothat for us, and when weresist the devil he will flee.God’s Word is on the lineand he can not lie. He willwatch over His Word toperform it. It shall accom-plish that which it was sentto do. It will not returnvoid! It is not the will of Godthe Father that any one ofHis children to have sick-ness or disease--None!Remember the 103 rd Psalm. Vs.3. Who forgivesall your iniquities, Whoheals all your diseases. You can not separatethem, Jesus paid the penal-ty for both, so why notenjoy them both? They arefreely given, and given atan incredible cost.

James 5:14. Is anyoneamong you sick? Let himcall for the elders of thechurch, and let them pray

over him, anointing himwith oil in the name of theLord.15. And the prayer of faithwill save the sick, and theLord will raise him up. Andif he has committed sins,he will be forgiven.

We see that healing andthe forgiveness go hand inhand. I'm not here to startan argument, but to startan encouragement. I knowthat's not proper gram-mar, but I hope you takemy point.Remember Jesus said tothe paralytic man whocame for healing, be ofgood cheer your sins areforgiven you. Then Hewent on to say… Matthew 9:2 And behold, they brought to Him aparalytic lying on a bed.And Jesus, seeing theirfaith, said to the paralytic,"Son, be of good cheer;your sins are forgivenyou.''6. "But that you may knowthat the Son of Man haspower on earth to forgivesins'' then He said to theparalytic, "Arise, take up

your bed, and go to yourhouse.''7. And he arose and de-parted to his house.8. Now when the multi-tudes saw it, they mar-veled and glorified Godwho had given such powerto men.

Jesus forgave the manssins, and then to prove it,He Healed him. You willnotice the result was thatpeople glorified God.

If you have already made Jesus Christ the Lord ofyour life then thank God, Iwould like to encourageyou to also accept Him asyour Healer. He is bothyou know? Find out foryourself that He is both.Acknowledge Him as yoursavior and the forgiver ofall your sins and alsoacknowledge Him as thehealer of your body; Whoforgives all your iniquities,Who heals all your diseas-es.

State of Abortion Cont’d from Page 1 "While the most recent data indi-cate a decrease in the annualnumber of abortions, tragically, more than 3,000 unborn childrenare still killed every day in theUnited States under the legaldoctrine of Roe v. Wade and Doev. Bolton," said National Right toLife President Carol Tobias. "Aswe observe the 41st anniversaryof the twin decisions that legalizedabortion in America, the pro-life

movement remains committed torestoring legal protection to un-born children and providing helpand support to their mothers."

As noted in the report, on thebasis of the most recent reportsfrom the U.S. Centers for DiseaseControl and by the GuttmacherInstitute (originally founded as aspecial research arm of thePlanned Parenthood Federation ofAmerica), National Right to Lifeestimates that there have beenmore than 56 million abortions inAmerica since 1973, the year thatthe U.S. Supreme Court legalizedabortion on demand.

The report also observes thatafter reaching an all-time high ofover 1.6 million in 1990, the num-ber of abortions performed annu-ally in the U.S. appear to havedropped to around 1.1 million ayear. This drop in the annual number of

abortions can be traced to pro-life legislative efforts at the stateand federal level that have raisedawareness about the humanity ofthe unborn child These laws notonly encourage life-affirming alter-natives to abortion, they seek toinform and empower womenfacing unexpected pregnancy.

"Laws enacted at the federal andstate levels have helped immense-

ly in reversing the disturbingtrend established by Roe andDoe," observed Tobias. "As justone example, it is estimated thatthe Hyde Amendment, whichprevents the use of taxpayer dol-lars to fund abortions in the Medi-caid program, has saved well overone million unborn children sinceit was first enacted in 1976."

The report also discusses Nation-al Right to Life's major legislativepriority, the Pain-Capable UnbornChild Protection Act. The legisla-tion breaks new ground in thefight to protect mothers and theirunborn children by acknowledgingthe large body of scientific evi-dence showing that unborn chil-dren are capable of feeling excru-ciating pain by at least 20 weeksafter fertilization and recognizingthat states have compelling inter-est to protect these pain-capableunborn children. As discussed in the report, the

NRLC model legislation has nowbeen enacted in 10 states. In addi-tion, a federal version of the billhas been introduced, and NationalRight to Life has declared it to bethe organization’s top legislativepriority for the current Congress.

"Abortion remains widely availa-ble. But after years of being toldthat abortion was 'the bestchoice' or 'their only choice,'

women are learning that there arealternatives to abortion that af-firm their lives and the lives oftheir children," added Tobias."The bottom line is simple: theright-to-life movement is succeed-ing because even after 41 yearsand more than 56 million abor-tions, the conscience of our na-tion knows that killing unbornchildren is wrong."The report is available from the

National Right to Life Communi-cations Department here:www.nrlc.org/communications/stateofabortion Founded in 1968, National Right to

Life, the federation of 50 state right-to-life affiliates and more than 3,000local chapters, is the nation's oldestand largest grassroots pro-life organi-

zation. Recognized as the flagship ofthe pro-life movement, NRLC worksthrough legislation and education toprotect innocent human life fromabortion, infanticide, assisted suicideand euthanasia. (Christiannewswire)

It is very simple, if youwalk in love then whatyou pray for will not beself-serving, but giving, meeting all needs not

just yours.Remember when youthrow a pebble in a smallpond, it makes many rip-ples, not just one. What you pray for willaffect others as well asyourself, it always does. The key to being a "doerof the Word" is love.Love is the glue thatholds it all together. It is the power thatactivates faith and gen-erosity. It is the fulfill-ment of all the previ-ous commandments. You won’t have to try tokeep the Ten Command-ments when you haveGod’s love in you. God’slove makes it impossible

to break them. It makes itimpossible not to trustGod and lean on Him,because when His lovepours out of you - You

will put Him first inYour life! Let me leave you with afew thought:Put God first in your life.Meditate on God’s Word.Learn how it will impactyour life and answer you

needs. Pray for others, not just yourself. Lovingmeans getting your eyesoff your needs and on tosomeone else needs. TheWord tells us to pray foreach other.Put what you learn intopractice. Everyday, onestep at a time. In every-thing give thanks.Pray without ceasing. Re-

joice evermore! Amen!If you want to know forsure that you are a childof God, then I would like

to invite you to earnestlypray this prayer.Dear Heavenly Father, Icome to you in the nameof Jesus. Your word says,"…and the one whocomes to Me I will by nomeans cast out." (Jn.6:37),So I know You won’t castme out, but You take mein, And I thank you for it.You said in your Word,"whoever calls upon the

name of the Lord shall besaved.'' (Ro. 10:13).I am calling on Your name,So I know You have savedme now, You also said,"…that if you confess withyour mouth the Lord

Jesus and believe in yourheart that God has raisedHim from the dead, youwill be saved. For with theheart one believes torighteousness, and withthe mouth confession ismade to salva-tion." (Ro.10:9,10).
