At the beginning of the title sequence, we can note the leading companies that have helped or are sponsoring the film’s work. They could have given the movie some publicity so therefore the film must show the companies. The next few titles seen are the actors and actresses, probably in order of main characters. This part of the title sequence doesn’t show extras in the movie because they are less important and needed in the movie. The titles then go into costume designers and casting. This gets more important throughout it, until it reaches the director. It also goes through the music supervisors and visual effects producers etc. The font in white and is in bold letters. This could signify how bold the movie is in the effects and the story line itself. Some of the text is wiped – this is only when it isn’t related to what they do as a person for example “seismic activity” was wiped out from the name of an actor. It is

In the background, it looks like old videos of what happened in wars, but it is hard to tell as Godzilla is not real. I find that the titles show a theme of terror and rushing because of the use of the wiping of the text, this I find reflects how Godzilla’s actions affect the population. The titles show that the genre is thriller because of the boldness with the eerie feel from the wiping away of the text; this could be the loss of life?
