Liquid Crystal Technology

Electronically controllable Requires a few energy when active Display can be transparent (suitable material for aperture)

With existing technology, Liquid Crystal, it’s possible to create an efficient way for adjustable aperture on small devices, so the camera module can have a wider maximum aperture for low light situation and small aperture to retain the sharpness during bright day light.

2 Ways Periscope

Swivel Mirror

Many people take selfie with GoPro, but GoPro has no front-facing camera, nor front LCD screen Fitting swivel mirror to reflect picture from back and front lenses enables the camera’s selfie

capability without having to add an additional LCD screen or another camera’s sensor (Reduce cost and size)

The periscope chamber can be filled with nitrogen to prevent fog More space for Optical zoom elements

MEMS Autofocus

MEMS Autofocus

Requires fewer space Consumes less power than regular Voice Coil (Generate less heat) Faster focus Focuses with better accuracy

Many smartphone companies are interested in this new autofocusing technology
