The aim of the project is to present a web based application which provides a communication platform between car owners and passengers.

Car owners will be able to post a noticeannouncing that (s)he has been travellingbetween some particular locations regularly orjust once, to search a travel-mate in order toreduce the ride costs.

Also, passengers will be able to search for a ride suitable to their situation.

Driver who will already make that trip on that day, will reduce his/her travel costs.

For the ones that do not like travelling alone, will have the chance to find a travel-mate.

Shared driving carpooling can also reduce driving stress.

Passenger will have the chance to travel at lower costs than train or bus.

They will make their trip with the comfort of an automobile.

Avoiding lonely trips also applies for passenger.

Its front end should be implemented using PHP, HTML and Java-script.

The back end should be managed by the MYSQL.

It will be using the Andromeda server provided by NITC.

The Backup and recovery functionalities will be

constrained by the servers and the data.

Storage facilities provided by Andromeda.

Carpooling / Ride Sharing Sites are the leading car sharing platform inalmost all countries. They connect drivers who have empty seats withpassengers looking for a ride.

Drivers who are planning a long distance car journey offer their rideonline, specifying itinerary and price. Passengers interested in this tripcontact the driver via the GoGreenCar_Clone internal message system orby phone. They then travel together and passengers pay drivers acontribution to help offset their costs.

The user should have end systems (computers or laptops).

The hardware interfaces (such as network connectivity) will be managed by Internet Service Provider.

The system is not specific for any particular operating system.

We will be using HTML, Java script and PHP to build the front end of our Database.

It will Mainly consist of usernames, passwords, emails, address, and schedule of car-pooling.

We will use MYSQL to manage the database on our server.

PHP will be used to connect to MYSQL

Licensing Requirements

The usage of CAR-POOL MANAGEMENT is restricted to only who has the license.

The system will try to retain the integrity of data

The biggest advantage of carpooling is availability of parking spaceapart from a huge amount of money that is saved because of sharingin the fuel costs.

Carpooling is an ultimate solution that can help in saving tons ofmoney as well as reducing the irritating street congestions whichinevitably increases transportation time and losses. What’s more, on amore humanitarian ground, carpooling opens new opportunities tobuild friendships and gives the worker some time to socialize in histerribly hectic schedules.

It’s very simple for him to search for a ride. He just has to fill in thesearch criteria with the location of his travel from the destination ad hewill be showed a list of all the cars that are headed on the same route.Since he is the real customer, he will get the options of choosing fromthe number of options available. The options will be available in termsof the kind of car that is available and other such features.
