Pastor Richard Fuentes (PC Saving Grace), Pastor Juan Reyes

On April 6th, Pastor Allen Baker was in Estelí and Matagalpa for three daysteaching the Nicaraguan people how to fulfill the command of Jesus Christ tomake disciples of all nations. He shared a testimony of how a ministry in Indiawas started and what their plan of action was so they could start 100 churches in10 years. 30 men and women listened attentively to the presentation in Estelí; includingparticipants from the Baptist Church, the Pentecostal Church and the PresbyterianChurch.

After the seminar, a deacon from Shalom PC Estelí shared these thoughts:"We need more seminars like this one! Pastor Al Baker has a good point weneed to start paying attention to more than ever. Christians are used to theidea that people go to church mainly for fellowship purposes only, but we arenot prepared well enough for ministry as it is often assumed we are. It's like when you teachEnglish. Students andteachers usually thinkthat all you need to do isgo to class andunderstand howgrammar rules work tobe able to speak thelanguage. In real life, it

(PC El Shaddai), and Pastor Octavio Mitchell (PC SovereignGrace) with Emerson Wilson

doesn't work that way. In other words, we don't have the kind of practical tools we can use to sharethe gospel more directly. The learn by doing approach that was shared byin this conference will greatly boost our chances of advancing the kingdom. Ihope we have further conferences with him so our community can continuelearning and understanding, in a practical way, that preaching is not only thepastor's work."

With a grateful heart, we Praise:1. For the three PCN Nicaraguan pastors in training now :Pastor Richard Fuentes,Pastor Juan Reyes and Pastor Octavio Mitchell.2. For the devoted work of the TFCA USA Foundation and the teachers at TonyFlauto Christian Preschool Academy in Estelí, Nicaragua, who share the love ofJesus Christ every day to 3 and 4 year old children; many from broken homes.3. For our Crossroad Bible Institute instructors: Pastor Raul Castro and PastorIglesias, who share the good news of Jesus Christ in the Matagalpa and EstelíPrisons.4. For our USA donors who provide prayers and resources for our ministries tocontinue into our 19th year of full time ministry in Nicaragua.5. For restoring my (Emerson's) health, which allows me to continue to serve Godand the Nicaraguan people.

We ask you Pray that:1. God will reveal His plan for our PCN pastors to prepare, study, and be ordained.2. God will raise up new Nicaraguan pastor candidates for our PCN churchplanting movement.3. God will open all doors to allow our daughter, Xochil Wilson, the opportunity tobecome a member of the Briarwood PC community in Alabama.

Martina and I thank you for your continued prayers and support for our ministriesin Nicaragua.

With you on the journey, singing songs of praise and thanksgiving,

Emerson Wilson
