CAMBODIA WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ASSOCIATION The Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association provides a platform for women entrepreneurs and MSME owners to bring concerns and build consensus on policy issues affecting the business environment and competitiveness of women-owned businesses in Cambodia. Started in 2011, the association addresses public policy weaknesses impacting women in the informal sector, and advocates in favor of expanded services for this segment

of the population. The group also addresses deficits in market information and business education in Cambodia and regularly organizes trade promotion events. Providing business services, training and networking opportunities, CWEA aims to help its 300 members level the playing field in the private sector. CWEA has been particularly effective at strengthening the confidence of women in starting and growing their companies by organizing networking events, field trips and community initiatives. CATALYSTRolfe Eberhard has 25 years’ experience assisting government, public and development agencies in water and electricity policy, institutional reform, regulation, strategy, and financial and economic analysis. CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR CHANGE (CEC)Centre of Excellence for Change Management (CEC) has evolved from the Change Management Group (CMG) initiated in 2003, as an institution providing space for all like-minded Change Agents in Public Utilities, Govt. Organizations and Civil Society to work, especially for the disadvantaged and voiceless. The center, since its inception, has been spearheading change initiatives in the water sector through a paradigm shift in Water Governance, encompassing shift in the role of officials from providers to facilitators while strengthening people’s alliances for community water management. The CEC is a Registered Society (2009). CEC has been approved as a National Key Resource Centre (KRC) by the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation (MoWR) Government of India. The CEC conducted capacity building programs on ‘Change Management ‘ to officials of public utilities in water and food sector not only in Tamil Nadu but also in other states in India. Presently CEC is implementing ‘Field level Leadership’ Programs to officials of Tanzania and Government of Meghalaya under World Bank Assistance.

CHANGE INTERVENTIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT (CID)CID is a consulting group with a passion for knowledge and learning and motivated by the desire to partner with change agents to create and implement solutions to development problems and address social issues. CID provides support in three areas. First, CID develops change platforms to provide teams with an online ‘space’ for collaboration and problem-solving. Second, CID helps teams discover options for action on social issues and development problems. CID has developed a new framework —‘Negotiating Strategic Change’ to enhance leadership capacity to build coalitions and address collective action problems. CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT FOR SOCIAL SERVICE DELIVERY—COPASAHCOPASAH is a community where practitioners who share an interest and passion for the field of community monitoring for accountability in health interact regularly and engage in exchanging experiences and lessons; sharing resources, capacities and methods; in the production and dissemination of conceptual, methodological and practical outputs towards strengthening the field; and in networking and capacity building among member organizations. This Community of practitioners was established as result of a three day ‘Practitioners Convening on Community Monitoring for Accountability in Health’ organized by the Accountability and Monitoring in Health Initiative (AMHI) of the Open Society’s Public Health Program in July 2011 in Johannesburg, South Africa. COPASH’s mission is to nurture, strengthen and promote collective knowledge, skills and capacity of community-oriented organizations and health activists—primarily from Africa, Asia and Latin America—working in the field of accountability and social action in health, for promoting active citizenship to make health systems responsive, equitable and people-centered.

THE DAN ELDON PLACE OF TOMORROW (THE DEPOT)The DEPOT was founded by Mike Eldon in 1994 as a living memorial to his son Dan, who was killed in Somalia while serving there as a Reuters photojournalist. It is a Kenya-based management consultancy with wide experience around Africa and beyond (not least with and through the World Bank) in programs related to leadership, culture transformation and team building, strategic planning, performance management, institutional development and coaching. It offers experiences that develop a new sense of power and optimism. At the heart of all the DEPOT does is experiential learning, with the expectation that clients will “have a good time doing good things”. DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT FÜR INTERNATIONALE ZUSAMMENARBEIT (GIZ) – GLOBAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMYAiming at system transformation closely intertwined with the personal development of decision-makers the Global Leadership Academy addresses global issues and works with its international partners to develop new formats for dialogue, while managing their implementation and ensuring their quality. DEVELOPMENT POLICY INSTITUTE (DPI)Development Policy Institute (DPI) was created in 2009 by Kyrgyz experts in the field of state government, local self-government (LSG) and community development. DPI implemented over 40 various projects and activities in the projects framework were implemented both at local and national levels. DPI’s expert team include 40 experienced experts in various field of governance. DPI legal experts are the main developers of the national legislation on local elections, the authors of LSG Chapter of the Constitution of KR, regulations on financial and economic basis of LSG and other regulations on decentralization. DPI has an active partnership with over 250 LSGs and communities, has 5 regional offices across the country. SOCIAL IMPACT LAB (SIMLAB)Social Impact Lab (SIMLab) began life as a non-profit with a mission to lower barriers to social change through mobile. SIMLab was the institutional home of the FrontlineSMS project, a suite of software that helps organizations build services with text messages. With more than 250,000 downloads in 199 territories. SIMLab’s impact has been recognized by the NGO community at large: in 2013, the Global Journal named SIMLAB the #1 Tech NGO in the world, and received a Google Impact Award jointly with Landesa. In 2011, SIMLab was awarded the Curry Stone Design Prize. In 2014, the team spun out FrontlineSMS as a for-profit to enable an expansion of their practice to cover work beyond implementing SMS and the Frontline tool set. STANFORD UNIVERSITY—LEADERSHIP ACADEMY FOR DEVELOPMENT (LAD)The Leadership Academy for Development (LAD) at Stanford University trains government officials and business leaders from developing countries to help the private sector be a constructive force for economic growth and development. It teaches carefully selected participants how to effective reform leaders, promoting sound public policies in complex and contentious settings. The LAD curriculum focuses on the use of case studies as well as lectures to generate discussion and build decision skills. The case studies illuminate the challenges associated with enchanting private sector performance in emerging economies. The cases and lectures address a wide range of issues, but they are ultimately rooted in real-world stories—specific policy decisions that have taken place in developing countries. Rather than serve as examples of “best practices” or “how-to” guides, the cases are designed to encourage participants to think critically about the key decisions that have led to policy changes. Written from the perspective of decision-makers who have designed or executed specific policies, they demonstrate how effective public officials think and act strategically. They show how these leaders address technical obstacles while simultaneously taking into careful consideration the political, cultural and social
