GLOBAL INTEGRITYGlobal Integrity champions transparent and accountable governance around the world by producing innovative research and taking action to inform, connect, and empower civic, private, and public reformers seeking more open societies. They accomplish this by assisting local stakeholders, including both government and civil society, in putting adaptive learning — a structured, data-driven, problem-focused and iterative approach to learning by doing, which engages with local political realities while drawing on experiences from elsewhere — at the heart of their efforts to design and implement effective governance reforms. This helps reformers close the gaps between policy commitments and implementation and contributes to better governance and development outcomes. Further, Global Integrity seeks to support and enhance the effectiveness of other key players in the governance arena by sharing the insights generated from their innovative and exploratory work with local partners.

NETWORKING ACTION: ORGANIZING FOR THE 21ST CENTURYThe world is still at early stages of knowledge about developing effective networks and transformational change to address complex issues. Networking Action supports effective responses to these complexities by playing a number of roles. As a thought-leader in the field of multi-stakeholder networks and addressing global challenges, Networking Action gives addresses to meetings and boards to stimulate their thinking and understand their challenges from a networking perspective. People may desire to learn more about concepts, frameworks, and approaches to network development and operation. Workshops are organized for one-time or consecutive engagements; they can be virtual using e-conferencing, in-person, or a combination. New knowledge development is often necessary for networks since they are pioneering new ways of operating. This can require development of new methodologies, or combining methodologies in new ways. The product is not always directly applied, or will lead to definitive recommendations, but often proves catalytic to people’s way of seeing and approaching issues. Leadership is often needed to form various stakeholders into a community to address an issue or develop an opportunity. Or, sometimes it is needed to build a team’s capacity and ability to learn collaboratively.

RAPID RESULTS INSTITUTE (RRI)RRI envisions a world where communities and organizations around the world are accessing their full power to create a future that fulfills their aspirations. RRI works on critical societal problems, and they strive to bridge the gap between aspirations and impact. RRI does this by choreographing 100-day challenges that nudge communities, organizations and government agencies – often working together – to achieve what appear to be impossible results. And they help leaders leverage the results and momentum created by these challenges into sustained, long-term impact. The Rapid Results Institute was founded and spun out of Schaffer Consulting in 2007. The work is inspired by the principles of results-driven change that Dr. Robert H. Schaffer and his colleagues pioneered in large corporations. The 100-days challenge liberates front-line teams to innovate, experiment, and bend the rules. Teams produce remarkable results in 100 days. But as importantly, mindset and behaviors shift, new relationships are forged, and confidence levels rise. Even when a team fails to achieve its 100-day goal, the persistence and perseverance over the 100 days generate tremendous insight and value for the organizations involved.

STANFORD UNIVERSITY—LEADERSHIP ACADEMY FOR DEVELOPMENT (LAD)The Leadership Academy for Development (LAD) at Stanford University trains government officials and business leaders from developing countries to help the private sector be a constructive force for economic growth and development. It teaches carefully selected participants how to effective reform leaders, promoting sound public policies in complex and contentious settings. The LAD curriculum focuses on the use of case studies as well as lectures to generate discussion and build decision skills. The case studies illuminate the challenges associated with enchanting private sector performance in emerging economies. The cases and lectures address a wide range of issues, but they are ultimately rooted in real-world stories—specific policy decisions that have taken place in developing countries. Rather than serve as examples of “best practices” or “how-to” guides, the cases are designed to encourage participants to think critically about the key decisions that have led to policy changes. Written from the perspective of decision-makers who have designed or executed specific policies, they demonstrate how effective public officials think and act strategically. They show how these leaders address technical obstacles while simultaneously taking into careful consideration the political, cultural and social

THE TLEX LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE—INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR HUMAN VALUESWith Practical Training for Mental Clarity, Social Connection and InspirationTLEX® offers experiential and fun learning and integrated frameworks so employees can perform under high complexity and demand with greater collaboration and innovation. TLEX® has facilitated trainings and talks to nearly 30,000 employees, with over 200 organizational clients in 30 countries across the globe. Managing Internal and External Complexity. In an increasingly complex and dynamic world, solving problems through strategy and process alone can leave employees burnt out and disengaged, fragment teams, and create negative workplace cultures. To develop resilient teams and adaptive solutions, employees need tools to understand and manage their most important asset — their own minds. Investing in minds to transform challenges into opportunities. Successful teams and leaders require mental clarity to process an ongoing flood of information, adaptive thinking to navigate unforeseen challenges, emotional resilience to process stress and uncertainty, and social connection for greater engagement and teamwork. When employees are engaged and thriving in their overall lives, they are more likely to maintain strong work performance — even during difficult times.
