Dates / Duration • 3 – 28 July 2017 – 4-week programme, with a focus on Business, Innovation & Society in Asia
Courses/Contact Hours
• Students can take 1 to 2 courses• 36 contact hours in total per course
• 3 hours per class/3 classes per week/ 4 weeks = 36 contact hours• 1 SMU course = 1 SMU credit = 36 hours
• Students obtain up to 2 credits for two courses during the 4 weeks of classes• Credits obtained during the Global Summer Programme can be transferred, subject to approval from your uni
Assessments• A mixture of essays, group projects, presentations, quizzes, in-class final tests• Assessments will differ according to course of choice
Student Composition• Mix of local & international students • 140 students from 2016 programme came from 19 different countries (Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark,
Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Mexico, The Philippines, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA, Vietnam etc.)
Cost of Programme
• Tuition Fees:
– 1 course = S$3210 / US$2,270 (including tax)– 2 courses = S$5,350 / US$3,785 (including tax)• Miscellaneous Fee = SGD 218 (includes health & medical insurance, facilities like library, gym, swimming pool etc.) • Accommodation = SGD800/month – depending on hostel and room

Dates / Duration• Term 1 (Fall): 21 August to 8 December 2017 (incl of exam period)• Term 2 (Spring): 15 January to 27 April 2018 (incl of exam period)
Courses/Contact Hours
• Students can take 2 to 4 courses from a list of courses available to exchange students.• Courses will be registered for students ‘offline’• 39 contact hours in total per course• 1 SMU course = 1 SMU credit = 39 hours (typically about 3-4 US credits)• Credits obtained during the VSP can be transferred, subject to approval from home university
Assessments• A mixture of essays, group projects, presentations, quizzes, in-class participation, final exams• Assessments will differ according to course of choice
Student Composition • Mix of local & international students – VSP students will study alongside with local & other exchange students.
