GLOBALRESPONSIBILITYPOLICY

The Global Responsibility Policy defines guidelines within the framework of sustainable management for companies that make up Grupo Energía de Bogotá.

Furthermore, it governs all corporate policies and jointly establishes the basis for adequate performance and decision-making.

Companies that make up Grupo Energía de Bogotá are committed to their stakeholders and to global issues in subjects such as Sustainability and Human Rights and hence they adhere to the concept of “Global Responsibility” by means of initiatives that generate economic, social andenvironmental value, and by adopting, monitoring and reporting best practices within the framework of sustainable management and respect for Human Rights. Grupo Energía de Bogotá companies:

Voluntarily commit to go beyond legal compliance in force and to conduct due diligence to contribute to sustainable development.

Adopt this policy through a statement of commitment in accordance to the nature of the business.

Adhere to UN Global Compact and ensure that the performance of their activities and operations are conducted under the ten principles universally accepted in four theme areas, namely: I) Human R ights, II) Labor Standards, III) Environment y IV) Anticorruption.

Conduct activities to identify, prevent and mitigate risks that impact human rights, which may occur as a result of their operations, and put in place preventive and remedy actions when such risks materialize.

Understand that this is a continuous and dynamic process that requires engagement of interested parties, to identify and prioritize the expectations and needs thereof, building sound and trustworthy relationships. As per the above, and together with the parties involved, they take on the responsibility of communicating and being accountable for their performance, and making themselves available for verification.

APPLICABLE CONCEPTSPolicy: guidelines providing ways to make the strategy operative, directing the behavior and the decision making process and structuring plans and actions.

United Nations Global Compact: this is an initiative of the General Secretary to the United Nations launched in July 2000, as a global, open and standing dialogue platform, action and interaction of the private sector with governments and civil society to define and develop a larger global, national and local agenda for sustainable development, in which it makes visible and exchanges experiences and where “sound

entrepreneurial practices” that have generated social impact under the ten principles of Corporate Responsibility are disclosed. Corporations adhering to this initiative commit to aligning their strategies and operations to ten principles universally accepted in four theme areas: human rights, labor standards, environment and anticorruption. Similarly is constitutes a framework for action aimed at building social legitimization in businesses and markets.

Relevant issues: relevant topics for the organization that stem from the corporate strategy, industry trends within the framework of sustainable development and the engagement of stakeholders.

Due diligence: a conscious process to identify actual and potential social,environmental and economic impacts, resulting from decisions or activities of a company, which may be carried out to implement management strategies.

Sustainable Development: development that satisfies the needs of current generations without hindering the possibilities of future generations to tend to their own needs.

Human Rights: Human Rights are a set of prerogatives inherent to the nature of an individual, whose e�ective realization is essential for the integral development of such individual who lives in a legally organized society. These rights, enshrined in the Constitution and in the laws, shall be acknowledged and guaranteed by the Government.

Human rights risks scenario: a situation, condition or event in which an individual or a social group feels that the normal exercise of their fundamental rights may be jeopardized.Stakeholders: group or individuals a�ected by or who a�ect the decisions and/or activities of a company and therefore hold an interest therein.

Accountability: a condition by which one answers to stakeholders on the decisions taken or activities conducted.

Impact: a positive or negative change, either total or partial generated as a result of the decisions and activities of an organization as regards their economic, social and environmental aspects.
