associations from all over the world have

accepted our invitation and will meet up

at OTWorld. Even though the whole issue

of care remains heavily influenced by

individual national health services, we are

all united by one question that transcends

all frontiers: ‘How can we improve the

quality of care for our patients?’ More than

ever before, the steps we need to take

today require global and interdisciplinary

networking and exchange of ideas. The

‘Global Networking Area’ offers an ideal

platform for establishing new personal

contacts and new networks, which can and

will have a long-term positive influence on

our future care provision.”

OTWorld is the largest and most important event in the sector. Every two years it unites high-

calibre professional development with the world’s leading Trade Show in its field. Experts from all

over the world meet up in Leipzig at this forward-looking exhibition of innovation with more than

500 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors. The World Congress is unique in the excellent opportunities

for further professional development it offers. It brings together science and research with training

and practical experience. Orthotists and prosthetists, orthopaedic shoemakers, engineers, medical

staff and therapists from all over the world gather here to exchange ideas and experiences and

to devise improved options for care and new ways of providing the basis for patient well-being.

Altogether, fifty simultaneously translated lecture sessions will be offered on the four days of the

congress, with lectures being held in four rooms at the same time.

ATTRACTIVE JOINT STAND FOSTERS GLOBAL INTERCHANGEThe lifeblood of OTWorld is the interdisciplinary and international interchange of ideas and

experience. That is why the hosts of the event, the German Association of Orthopaedic Technology

(Bundesinnungsverband für Orthopädie-Technik) and Leipziger Messe, are offering a platform for

associations and educational institutions working in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, orthopaedic

footwear technology, podiatry and physiotherapy. The focus at the joint stand of the international

sector associations is not on products and services, but rather on personal contact. The ideal place,

therefore, to meet up and exchange ideas and experiences with colleagues, gather important

information about individual countries and find out about all the latest developments in the field.

THE PERFECT SETTING FOR YOUR PRESENTATION BEING THERE IS EVERYTHINGIn the ’Global Networking Area‘, the German Association of Orthopaedic

Technology offers international professional associations, organisations

and scientific groups the opportunity to present themselves and their

work free of charge, right at the heart of the trade show. The attractively

designed joint stand provides trade visitors from all over the world

with a central rendezvous. As a participant in the ’Global Networking

Area‘, you will be allocated a display board for your presentation free

of charge. On this you can present your organisation and give details

of current studies and/or conferences you are involved in. In addition,

all participating institutions will be entitled to an entry in the official

trade fair catalogue free of charge. The joint stand provides the perfect

setting for in-depth discussions. There are, amongst other things, plenty

of places available to sit down with a cup of coffee or a cold drink for

sustenance during your discussions. Plus, an information and reception

desk has been organised to facilitate communication between the

organisations and the visitors.

To register for the ‘Global Networking Area’, we will need your

formal application on the attached fax reply. Please return

the form to Leipziger Messe by 31 January 2014. Only when

you have returned the fax reply can we include you as an

official exhibitor and, at the same time, be sure to enter your

name correctly in the trade fair catalogue and the index of

exhibitors.
