RegistrationEntryprocedureandRegistrationAllcompetitorsplanningtoenteraKSWTeventshallpre-registerviaemailtojo@global-kitesports.orgorbyothermeanstobespecifiedbytheKSWTSportsCommission,nolaterthanthepublishedclosingdateforentriesforthatspecificevent.Ultimatelyitisthecompetitors’responsibilitytopre-registerortoapplyforanentryforaneventandtoensurethattheapplicationhasbeenreceivedtimelyandcorrectly.Accordingtorule10.2,finesand/orhavingtheirnexteventsapplicationscancelledmaybehandedouttoapre-registeredand/orqualifiedcompetitorwho,withoutadvancednoticefailstoshowupatanevent.CompleteandsignedentryformsforeventregistrationmustbesignedandcompletebythetimestatedintheRaceNotice.ExceptionscanonlybegrantedbytheKSWTRepresentative. IfacompetitorisunabletocompleteregistrationatthepublishedtimeandplaceintheRaceNoticeforreasonsbeyondtheircontrol,thenthecompetitorshouldcontacttheKSWTRepresentativewithdetailsoftheirdelay,andmustgainconsentfortheirregistrationperiodtobeextended.Evidencemustbesuppliedtosupportreasonsshowingthatthecircumstanceswe/areoutofthecompetitor´scontrol.Failuretocomplywiththeabovewillprohibitacompetitorfromenteringtheevent.

InthecasethatthereisnoNationalQualifierRanking,the4Wildcardswillbeallocated:2forKSWTand2fortheOrganizer.Oneweekbeforetheevent,LocalOrganizerWildcardsshallbeapprovedbytheKSWTSportsCommission.IfanyrankedcompetitorcannotcompeteinoneKSWTeventduetoaninjuryorotherreasons,theemptyspotwillbegiventothenexthighestrankedcompetitor.Ifthereisn’tanationalqualifiernorawildcardranking,competitorswillbedistributedintheKSWTladderaccording to thenamedrawing that shall bedoneby theContestDirector at the firstdaymandatorymeetingforallcompetitorsbeforethecompetitionstarts.
SeedingandEliminationProcedureThePreviousyears’KSWTRankingSeedingListforaneventshallbecalculatedasfollows:(i)thecompetitor’sfinalpositionontheKSWTRankinglistfromthepreviousyear,whichshallberegardedasoneresult;thetwobestresultsoverthepast12months;andthepreviousyear’sresultatthatspecificevent,whichmaycounttwiceifitisoneofthetwobestresults(ifthisdoesnotexist,thenextbestresultfromtheprevious12months).Thiswillgivefourresults,thehighestofwhichisdiscarded.Inalltheaboveinstances,thepositionsscoredbythecompetitorshallbeaddedtogetherandthecompetitorwiththelowestscoreshallbeseededfirstandsoon.Intheeventofatie,theKSWTtie-breakrulesshallapply.
(ii)ifatop40rankedsailorisunabletocompeteataneventoreventsduetoinjury,theseedingofthatsailorwillbeprotectedforaperiodoffourmonths,afterwhichtimeseedingswillbeallocatedasdescribedabove.
Eliminationshallbesingle,dingleordoubleeliminations.
TheEliminationprocedureshallbe:
(i) competitors’namesshallbeenteredontheappropriateelimination ladderforthefirsteliminationseriesaccordingtotheeventSeedingListandtheseedingdistributiontablebelow.
(ii)Ifthereisn’tapreviousyearnoracurrentranking,competitorswillbedistributedintheKSWTladderaccording to thenamedrawing that shall bedoneby theContestDirector at the firstdaymandatorymeetingforallcompetitorsbeforethecompetitionstarts.
(iii)“Byes”,ifany,shallbepositionedsothattheyareallocatedtothemosthighlyrankedcompetitors.
(iv)competitorsshallsailoneagainstoneinpairs,oringroupsofupto8determinedbytheeliminationladder.Thedeclaredwinnerofeachpairorthetophalfofthelargegroupsshalladvanceontheeliminationladder.Oncearoundisstarted,theformatshallstaythesameuntilthatroundiscompleted.Theformatreferstoeitheroneononeorgroupswiththetophalfadvancing.Forvisainfopleaseemail:[email protected]
