“MISERABILANDIA”: the new album released of the Italian folk-rock band “IL POZZO DI SAN PATRIZIO” The voice announcing like an advertise regression spot - in the first track - introduce the listener into a Luna Park: a “strange place” where a colored and lightened carousel hide a different reality. Atmosphere, sounds and texts represents one vision of the reality that grows and explode in a schizophrenic derision’s power that transforms ugly things in amazing things, through three differents conscience conditions: initial loss, self awareness, product solution. The give off sound is an overwhelming energy mix of “strong rock” and “folk music” of Irish and Balkan’s matrix that reflects the sarcasm and the rage of a sadly festive’s atmosphere: music to dance and to think. Hydra Music Label and Goodfellas distribution, “MISERABILANDIA” is an album completely registered “live in studio” and contains collaborations of the artists: Luca Urbani (Soerba), wich sings the track “Il punto” and Nicodemo, speaking voice in “Bastian contrario”. The videoclip of the track “ARTICOLO UNO” (“FIRST ARTICLE” with reference to the Italian Constitution: “Italy is a democratic Republic founded on labour…”) describes the relation between work and life: to get money to satisfy his illusory needs, human became slave of his work: "I should work only to live but now – it’s a paradox - I’m only living to work”.

Il Pozzo di San Patrizio nasce a Salerno nel 1997 con lo scopo di bere gratis nei locali in cambio di musica. Locale dopo locale, pinta dopo pinta, il gruppo inizia ad acquisire una propria identità basata sulla fusione di folk, di matrice irish e balcanica, e rock senza compromessi. Inizia la sua attività live suonando in numerosi locali, club, festival e circuiti indipendenti:

DiscografiaIl primo disco omonimo, del 2001, completamente autoprodotto, è seguito nel 2003 da “Altri Tempi” e nel 2006 da “Lucidamente”, Ethnoworld label, e distribuito da Venus. Nel 2008 esce “Hard Folk Café”, con la UPR/Edel, etichetta folk-rock italiana, album composto da brani inediti, alcune tra le piu' amate hits della band e un omaggio a Vasco Rossi, con il brano Cosa Succede in Città, cantato da Lino Vairetti degli Osanna, storica formazione prog italiana.Nel 2010, il Pozzo incontra il musicista maliano Baba Sissoko con il quale realizza il progetto “The eyes over the World”, che vede la fusione tra i suoni afro-beat e il folk-rock irlandese del Pozzo. La formazione riscuote attualmente un grande successo su circuiti radio indipendenti, con passaggi radio in Francia, Germania, Australia e Stati Uniti.
