STEM challenges will be incorporated throughout.

2nd Grade-Going to Global Extremes with S.T.E.A.M.

We will continue with 1st grade's unit as traveling around the world takes time! The second grade curriculum engages students in working as engineers to collaboratively solve problems while incorporating STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) into each learning experience. Integration of the global world and the Engineering Design Process gives this unit an extra hint of challenge.

which engineers and architects use their knowledge to design, build, and test structures using their problem solving skills to find the best solutions for our future. They will also explore/examine natural

They will use the Engineering Design Process and Problem Based Learning to create a philanthropic entity showcasing the student’s passion for helping/changing the world.
