• Models are also developed using AQWA hydrodynamic package.

• Applicable to FPSOs and SEMIs.• Line dynamics will be required by

Stability AnalysisStability Analysis

• Mesh Generator and SSTAB softwares are used for all the units, including SEMIs, FPSOs and JACK-UPs.

• These softwares were initialy developed by Petrobras and State University for emergency situations but is now available in all units for daily use.

• Validation of the SSTAB software is in progress by ABS Engineering in Rio.

Special Structural AnalysisSpecial Structural Analysis

• Special Analysis including fracture mechanics and non-linear analysis can be executed to guarantee best results.

• An example of integration between field data and model testing are tha fractures found in the horizontal brace, around the K-joint of a Semi-Sub , which resulted in the development of a refined local structural model of the unit in order to investigate the fractures and possible repair options. This analysis saved the unit from dry-docking.

• Objective of this module is to provide immediate engineering information in case of accident of any of the units included into the contract. RAPID RESPONSE.
