After the new CobraCommander was elected,
Cobra launched a full-fledged assault
on a Southeast Asian country that forced the
population to flee, demolished its drug
trade, and then nuked its empty cities. G.I.
JOE fought valiantly but was only able to
hold back Cobra in a limited capacity. The
consequences for G.I. JOE's failure have been
grave: General Hawk was stripped of command
and Duke was appointed leader of the JOEs,
but only after their operating budget was
markedly decreased. On top of that, Cobra
held a press conference where they revealed
the existence of this covert American unit
to the public at large...
