SEPTEMBER IN REVIEW 2021Here is a recap of our rst month of school and the month ahead
GOOD SHEPHERD CROSS COUNTRYThe Good Shepherd Cross Country Team and Fun Run is nearing the end of their season Weare so excited to have students taking part in our extracurricular activities The season willocially end on Wednesday October 13th with the nal meet at Slater Park for our CrossCountry Team (Grades 6-8) and our nal Fun Run Meet will take place on Wednesday October6th Members of the Cross Country team and Fun Run can continue to take part in the nalpractice this week on Monday (October 4th) and Thursday (October 7th)

PROCEEDS BENEFIT (CHILDRENS WISHES)Our rst Dress Down of the school year was very successful because of the tremendousgenerosity of our entire school community As a result of this dress down day event ourschool was able to raise $65900 to help support this organization and provide Rhode Islandchildren with amazing wish experiences while assisting their families with continued supportbeyond the wish THANK YOU

OCTOBER UPCOMING EVENTS
ABSENCEFor any absence please notify the school oce or the school nurse as to the reason forabsence The school nurse will follow up with you if there is any reason to contact yourpediatrician for further guidance Many of you have done this and we cannot thank youenough As always if your child says they do not feel well in the morning please keep themhome to monitor them We know how challenging this is but by doing all that we are doing wekeep each other safe Please refer the attestation form for any clarication
AFTER ILLNESS ATTESTATION FORMOnce your child is feeling better has no symptoms at all and has been fever free for 24 hourswithout having taken any fever reducing medication they may safely return to school TheDepartment of Health has asked that we use this form both as a source of information to theparents and to the school This form can be found on our school website under forms as wellas attached to this document httpsdrivegooglecomled1rZO1BthVehsLyRvHU01UfedH39eU0QGuviewusp=sharing
TRAVELWhen families are considering travel plans it is important you are aware of travel restrictionsand quarantine requirements Travel to states with a higher positivity rate of 5 require aquarantine period prohibiting your child from attending school until they have completingquarantine and PCR testing httpscoronavirusjhuedutestingtrackermappercent-positive
